Mitt Romneycare will be humilliated in the primaries. Teaparty partisans across the nation will correct anyone wno tries to leave the nation”care” out of his name and explain why that is important as many times as it takes.

What election?

One of Barry's Muslim buds will have touched off a nuke in NYC by then, and we will be under permanent martial law courtesy of President-for-Life Hussein Soetoro.

Sarah has as much chance if winning the WH as North Korea has of becoming a global economic super power. Sorry to tell all you Palinstas out there, but if Sarah is the nominee the Bambster eclipses the Johnson, Reagan, FDR landslide numbers. In case you haven’t noticed she isn’t even winning many of the local GOP straw poll votes anymore. Her star has peaked and is fading. If the DBM would stop talking about her she would probably just disappear from the public consciousness.

That being said I don’t know who will be the GOP nominee. I think the sun has set on Romney and Huckabee too. Look for some one we haven’t heard much about to pop up. The Bambster will be beatable in 2012 if the GOP runs a decent candidate with a strong record of executive experience and decision making. The country is ready for some adult supervision the WH.

Conservatives dont give a sh!t about any anti-obama vote. They will vote for a conservative. But not just for any name that happens to not be Obama on the ticket.

Same thinking. Mitt either will drop out early in the process or will not finish in top 3 in Primaries.

Nobama will not run again, probably because of several States enacting “Proof of Eligibility” laws. Hitlery will be nominated (as has been the sorass backup plan from day one) and lose by a wide majority.

“outside the confines of FR, he’s going to play pretty well. I will do what I can to stop it, but I will not be at all surprised if we can’t.”

Okay let me get this straight. You admit that except on FR the Romney polls well which makes him a viable candidate to run against and beat O’Bama. But then you say you will do everything you can to stop him from winning. So in essence you are saying you would rather have O’Bama win again than have Romney win and come in with what would probably be large GOP majorities. Romney is not my first choice as candidate, but if it comes down to him our Barry it is a no brainer who I vote for. You wage your battles in the primaries and then go to war with who wins the nomination. To do otherwise dooms you to defeat and second tier status forever. This isn’t Madden 2012 Politics edition we are talking about here. it’s real life.

My more immediate fear is that multiple conservative candidates will divy up the base

My more immediate fear is that none of the conservative candidates will decide to run. That gives me cold sweats.

And you will stand on principle and support loser more often than not at the national level. The democrats and the big money, media people love you because they know they can play on your emotions to win everytime.

You are they type of people who put the O’Bama/Pelosi/Reids of the world in office.

The GOP ran milquetoast, flaming Liberal Republicans against FDR four times for president, and the GOP lost four times against FDR.

This is a Crisis Era similar to the previous Great Depression, except this one is worse, much worse, and this will become more clear as more of the toothpicks keep slipping from beneath this house of cards.

Moderates of either stripe do not get taken seriously in this kind of historical setting.

Hard-core communists will get taken seriously by the Democrat primary voters. That'll probably be Hillary, or worse.

Only principled, committed, commonsense, Constitutional conservatives will get taken seriously by the GOP primary voters and the general election voters. That will be (#1) Palin, or (#2) Bachmann, or (#3) DeMint, or (#4) absolutely not a single one of the other 17 already mentioned milquetoast, flaming Liberal Republican potential candidates.

The Independents voted GOP 49% to 30% Dem in the 2010 midterm elections, compared to GOP 35% to 42% Dem in 2006.

Sarah Palin and the TEA Party voters led the GOP to the greatest nationwide Republican wins in eighty years, and the greatest nationwide conservative wins in the history of the USA.

"Conservatives split their votes in the primaries between Palin and Demint."

Can't happen.

Palin has stated many times she will only run IF there is not a "common-sense conservative" running.

Try again.

Sound predictions:

1) I will not be President.

2) Lazamataz will not be my Vice President.

3) Lazamataz will hit it. Like the fist of an angry God.

Pres. Obama royally screws up the Egypt political transition and then decides to not run in 2012.

I predict Obama will step aside for “health reasons”, retiring to Hawaii. The Dems will run Evan Bayh, and it will be a much closer race than if Obama had run.

For the GOP, I predict Palin drags it out as long as she can, but then does not run. I think Huck might then sweep the social issue voters and the MSM types to gain the nomination, but he’ll lose to Bayh.

Romney sinks with the Romneycare albatross around his neck. The other moderate candidates (Pawlenty, Daniels, etc) split that vote. Bachmann will run for Senate as will Cain. Newt won’t get past Super Tuesday and Barbour will be an “also ran”. DeMint will choose to stay in the Senate and run in 2016. I predict we get much better choices in 2016.

I think we’ll hold the House in 2012 and take back the Senate.

I am not a Romney man but I am a realist. Romney/Rubio takes,Florida and Nevada,New Mexico, Colorado,Michigan,New Hampshire and Ohio and possibly Massachusetts along with all the stalwart Republican states.

Obamacare wont matter because it will be declared unconstitutional. Romney was the ONLY candidate that did not kiss McCain's ass in the debates and actually put him on the ropes many times.

That is your winning ticket.

If we don’t get 4 or 5 states with ironclad BC requirements soon then the muslim can win again.

I predict Obama will be on the ballot in all 50 states, even those states that pass so-called "birther" bills. Conservatives would be wise to come up with a Plan B.

Winning Tickets
Huckabee/Bachman "The Christian Tea Ticket"
Romney/Cain  "The Turnaround Ticket"
Romney/Bachman "Conservative Sugar for RINO Medicine Ticket"
Huckabee/West  "The Toastmaster Ticket"

And for the Record I am not hardly a Huckabee or Romney fan. But the election will be decided by turnout (Christians, Black, Tea Party, Catholic & Union) and by the stupid "swing voters"
Huckabee and Romney may be hated here at FR but they do well with the swing vote types. If their VP can help with turnout and keep the harder conservatives from defecting, they would win.

I believe that’s what I said.

Romney’s not my choice but looking at the real world, he’s likely the choice of the not-quite-so-big-government Republican leadership. Like GWB versus Gore and Kerry, he’s still the lesser of two evils.

The thread asks for a prediction, not a wish list. Romney will not engage enough conservative support or peel off enough of the mushy middle to win in the general. That’s not what I want to happen; that’s most likely what will happen.

By the time Nov. 2012 rolls around - the US voters will be begging for an American citizen with real life & executive experience and true grit.

With Palin and Cain - they get a twofer!

With Clinton and Casey (Bob, PA) they get nada!
