President Obama is signaling the Egyptian opposition that their time has come. In a terse statement last night, Mr. Obama announced a moment of transformation had arrived in Egypt, the status quo is not sustainable and a new government must begin to form now. An administration official later reiterated, the key part of the statement was now. Today the formerly peaceful protests in Egypt turned violent. It turns out that words do have consequences.
Egypt is at a crossroads, a time of suspense when change could come gradually and peacefully, or quickly with maximum instability. The White House has chosen to back the latter course, which will play into the hands of the best organized, most radical factions, which in this case is the America-hating Muslim Brotherhood.
The Obama administration is strangely adamant that Muslim religious parties have to play a key role in the new government, and U.S. officials reportedly are reaching out to the Muslim Brotherhood behind the scenes. White House wishes aside, an Islamist government is not in Egypts interest and certainly not in the interest of the United States. The Muslim Brotherhood seeks to increase the influence of shariah worldwide and reverse the progress Egypt has made in becoming a more Western, more secular state. Its foreign policy was succinctly summed up by brotherhood leader Muhammad Ghannem, who said the Egyptian people should be prepared for a war against Israel. None of this will be good for America, the Mideast or the world.

It is going to be exciting being in the resistance and helping to save America from Obama and his Muslim/Marxist Minions.
Emulating his hero, Chairman Mao, Obama will inflict suffering for his glorious cause.
“If you’re listening to this, you’re part of the resistance”
With ya Mr. B.
Once a Community Disruptor ALWAYS a Community Disruptor!
Oh no, maybe a portion of Obama’s state media is about to defect? /sarc
Obama has really stepped in it this time. He defines inexperience, or clinical stupidity. Or, he knew exactly what he was doing. Strangest administration since Carter.
Hillary looks foolish and needs to retire before this Carter look alike president pulls her under any deeper. She is ruined as the smartest woman in the world, spouting about “smart power” at her State department. Obama will lay any coming fiasco at her feet.
Two million decent, patriotic Americans march on Washington DC, protesting liberal policies which are destroying our country, and they are met with derision by Obama, who called them “teabaggers,” a particularly insulting homosexual reference which no real President would ever utter.
A few hundred thousand Muslim Brotherhood-inspired Egyptians march on Cairo, though, and it’s time to throw the whole Middle East into the inferno.
This is an excellent editorial and worth reading closely and in its entirety.
The thing is, it’s also quite sickening.
That’s the thing about communists. They’re real good at tearing societies down. Building them up or sustaining them? Not so much...
Absolutely correct. The WT pulled no punches and got it all right.
Something needs to be done to neutralize their incessant lying & prevaricating.
strangly they say.
Nope not for me he sin’;t , he has been appeasing islam since he came into power and doe snot go to church, does not celebrate Christmas or Easter , does nothing to do with Iran, appeases radical islamic groups.
Damn right he is helping radical islam take over so admit MSM, your messiah hates you, hates the west and loves islam
Bernadine Dorn, code pink, gaza floatilla not long ago....... Also heard Egyptian student activists were schooled by the above while in the area or others from the group, anyone hear of this?
“It’s going to be...”?
The operative word is now
Besides the obvious socialist angles and love for moslems, I think the inept one also thought that Egypt could be his foreign policy “win”, his creds to being “adored” by the moslems long after his pResidency is over.
Misplayed it quite well so far.
