This weekend's Super Bowl clash between the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers will be the first in the game's 45 year history sans cheerleaders.
The Packers and the Steelers are two of the six NFL teams that do not have pom-pom squads, and they haven’t had them in years. The Packers did away with their cheerleaders in 1988 after market research indicated fans didn’t really care, and in 1970 it was an “organizational decision” to dissolve the Steelerettes.

I rarely post but know what to expect by looking at the headline. In the future, just move on by or read the article. Maybe you would have been more comfortable if all of the pictures were the 1961 Steeleretts. The poster is correct, the photo of women can be seen at any beach, any football game, any football game on TV. Nothing crazy about it. I know its your opinion but you do not need to attack or judge.
Because all conservatives are NOT prudes! Lighten up!
If you’re “insulted” by the contents of a thread about cheerleaders DON’T CLICK ON IT. It’s not a tough concept.
We don’t have contempt for your “traditional value”, he have contempt for you voluntarily clicking on a thread about cheerleaders and then claiming you were forced to see pretty women wearing more clothes than you’ll see on an average beach, we have contempt for you acting like there’s something horribly pretty women, and most of all we have contempt for your shrill attitude and holier than thou attitude that you claim represents traditional value and most certainly does not.
You are not being forced to see anything.
Go find another place to be.
Then take your high standards elsewhere.
Will you you be burning people at the stake next that don’t comport to your puritanical ethics?

Would you please tell us men on the thread what you feel is appropriate clothing for women to wear? What is your normal attire when you go out in public? What would you wear to the beach?

Would that be the value where you purposefully seek out an opportunity to be offended then, after seeking out said opportunity to be offended, attempt to control everyone else? Yea, I have contempt for that. That is classic Liberal strategy- look for opportunities to be 'offended' and then try to control others through it.
I agree; as a Giants fan I’m proud of the fact that they don’t need smut to sell tickets (and they’ve sold well). I wouldn’t want my young children watching that crap; they have a mother and aunts and grandmothers (and I have a mother, wife, and sister), and that sends a pretty negative message.
I’m surprised they don’t just borrow Dallas’ cheerleaders to keep the worst of the bottomfeeders watching.
