ElBaradei’s Ultimatum to Mubarak: 48 Hours to Leave the Country

Egyptian uprising idol Mohammed ElBaradei has ordered Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak to leave the country by Friday – or he will be a “dead man walking” and not just a lame-duck president.

The aging Egyptian leader, reportedly suffering from cancer, insists he will remain in power. He said Tuesday night, “This dear country is my country ... and I will die on its land."

Mubarak dramatically announced he will not run in September’s presidential elections, but shortly afterwards, U.S. President Barack Obama dealt him a stinging slap, stating that a transition to a new government should begin “now.”

In addition, he sent a senior diplomat to meet with ElBaradei.

Massive rallies in Cairo in Alexandria on Tuesday were held without the police brutality that killed anywhere between 70 and 300 deaths, depending on which estimate is believed, in previous days. Following Mubarak’s speech, ElBaradei said that a huge protest on Friday, the Muslim day of rest, will be “the Friday of departure” for Mubarak.

Obama is irrelevant.

He is projecting himself for the media at home. What he does matters not one whit in Cairo

The outcome will be determined by rational Egyptians.

I’m sure our allies are taking notes on how we are treating our enemies better than our friends. Of course, our enemies are Obama’s idols.

Al Jazeera is reporting that clashes have broken out between pro and anti-government demonstrators in Tahrir Square in Cairo: rock throwing and shouting.

And I guess El Baradei considers himself the leader and spokesman now for the anti-government faction (the MB) since he’s issuing ultimatums.

“I think Angela Merkel should tell our clueless president not to run for re-election.”

She probably already told him this right after the 2010 elections. What she should do now is tell him he should consider resigning NOW in light of his signature piece of domestic policy legislation being overturned and the abject failure of the other signature piece (his $1T “stimulus” that hasn’t stimulated a thing).

Remember when Batista was over thrown in Cuba. We tried to make nice nice with the incoming guy, what was his name, ah, Fidel Castro. Castro saw the US as the backer of Batista, aligned himself with the commies and the rest for Cuba has been history....50 years, so far. Meanwhile, it become just another country lost to the US under the watchful eyes of the Dems.

On a much smaller scale, recall what happened in Granada when Castro tried to extend his reach there. End of story.

This is the result of a country full of ignorant morons electing an Evil president.

We will reap what we have sewn, and it will happen soon.

God help us all.

Isn’t it a little odd that ElBaradei and Obama spoke exactly the same words yesterday. To me this proves they are scheming together to impliment the same agenda. This president is dangerous for the stability in the world and our allies (or past allies) are taking notice. I expect to see new alliances forming and soon.

Or acting on orders from his big boss, Obama.

Mohammed El_Baredi = Iranian stooge. I despise this evil mofo. He helped Iran get nuclear weapons. Mubarek should have had him rounded up and executed as soon as he landed in Egypt

I read elsewhere that El Baradei had rarely even visited Egypt in the last 20 years or so. And all of a sudden he shows up as its savior, with Obama bouncing along behind him with the pom-poms? Give me a break.

El Baradei is definitely an Iranian stooge, and I think he and Obama and the Iranians have been planning this for some time.

They are all simpatico and on the same side. No need for communications. ElBaredi has not lived in Egypt for decades. He lives in Switzerland probably living very nicely from Iranian payoffs and bribes. There is a claim on the internet that his wife is Iranian

The probably both get the words sent to their blackberries by their boss: George Soros.

Any doubt nobama is a camel jockey jihadist is long gone now. Seems to have a warm tingle up his leg for Bruthas Mooselimb which is also likely NOT newly acquired.

Instead of a Manchurian Candidate, nobama is a Mecca Candidate.

Castro was aligned with USSR and was a communist before Batista was overthrown. The ruskis supported him and the “revolution” from the start.

Just like Cuba, Egypt will not be free nor democratic. This lying azzhole elbaradei sees he chance to be the next dictator, not a liberator.

Nobama’s boss, sorass, approves.

Very uncivil language. Language Obama apparently approves.

I tell you what: if I were an ALLY of America right now, I wouldn't trust this government. They'll turn on you in heartbeat.
