Today is a good day to die.
I didn't say for whom.

Because he’s talked and done little for decades.

If the “Conservative” Republicans who have been voting to spend all this foreign aid money had agreed with Ron Paul, you wouldn’t have said all he’d done is talked and done little.

It is true, Ron Paul could not convince supposedly Conservative Republicans to not spend so much money, both at home and abroad. He’s still trying. I don’t know exactly what you think he should do. Some supposedly Conservative Republicans still want to spend money in the Middle East. Lots and lots of money we don’t have.

I didn't know the ramifications at the time.

The ramifications were that the Iraq War elected Barack Hussein Obama. It wasn't worth it.

No, it was not worth it in that respect. Having an Islamic controlled Iraq is another “not worth it”.

I'm pretty sure he's talking about 30 years of Mubarek, not Camp David, the October War or 1967.

Can you honestly say that our tens of billions to Mubarak's regime leaves us blameless?

Our guy in Egypt was a awful and brutal MF but he was better for the US and Israel than the Muslim Brotherhood’s brutal MFs. The Egyptians...they won’t be happy under the veils and whips of the Muslim Brotherhood, either.

For Muslim majorities, life sucks, no matter what the US does, because they are who they are.

But let’s be honest for a moment. Who was it that claimed the Muslims yearned to be free in a democracy like we have in the West? That would be Bush’s politically correct BS. That delusion fed the current state of affairs. The Muslims will vote to enslave and impoverish themselves and each other whenever given the opportunity, while they strive to undermine, murder and enslave Western peoples to Islam.

Ron Paul is a Conservative. When Republicans are Liberals, Ron Paul differs with them.

It’s interesting about the word RINO, and how it has developed.

Most Republicans are RINOs. Which is impossible, but we believe it. It means that the Republican is insufficiently Conservative. But in this case, when the Republicans have a very similar foreign policy to the Democrats, taking a Conservative position makes one a RINO.

Ron Paul is a Libertarian...or was when he ran for POTUS as a Libertarian. That makes him a sometimes RINO.

IMO, he is whatever is to his advantage at any given time.

I repeat--he is a media, attention whore.

I'm really not surprised to hear this coming from the moonbat who also blames the US for 9/11.

Ron Paul cannot resist an opportunity to bash the united States.

I think you are the one who has to demonstrate that whatever foreign aid we gave to Egypt had some negative effect, maybe by comparing the lives of ordinary Egyptians those of ordinary Syrians. I'm sure we pushed them toward a less adversarial relationship with Israel. There may be some psychological negatives for some Egyptians but certainly there have been positives tradewise at least. I think the major effect of our aid to Egypt was to diminish Soviet influence there, so maybe one should compare the lives of ordinary Egyptians to ordinary Cubans.

It's really quite simple. Mubarak's regime receives $1.5 billion from us every year.

Mubarak is a corrupt kleptocrat who's been in power for 30 years, living lavishly off of those funds along with his entire family while a huge percentage of Egyptians live in poverty. Therefore the people revolting against his rule can justifiably hold us somewhat responsible.

I don't think telling them that, "Well, at least you're better off than the Cubans" is much of an excuse.

Ron Paul simply forgot that the fact Egypt exists at all and isn't just an Israeli protectorate is that we told them to not kill off the Egyptian army.

Instead they were happy enough to simply take all the tanks, refurbish them, and are currently selling these modernized Egyptian/Russian tanks worldwide to amazed and delighted governments.

It's easy for folks to forget that ~ not for me ~ it's the reason I decided ME studies wasn't really all that great an idea for a lifelong career. Too dangerous. You have crazy Moslems on one side, and you have the Israelis on the other. The Moslems are totally outmanned.

Until they start revising their thinking that's going to continue to be a serious problem for them and will precipitate war after war after war with each succeeding war taking place more and more in their own countries and less and less in Israel.

The term RINO still hasn't evolved, but it's definitely been misused by people who have no ~ and I mean NO ~ understanding of what has gone on before.

It's like they just wash the past out of their minds and believe that at every moment all is created anew and that all connectivity is that of their own imagination.

No, RINO has nothing to do with IDEOLOGY, it has to do with PARTY AFFILIATION.

We Republicans used RINOs to run in Democrat districts where we had no hope of winning ~ EVER. We'd find a second stringer who might be popular for some sort of event, or public work, or whatever, and run him on the Republican ticket against the Democrat.

If we won we'd have a say so in local governance. if we lost, we were no worse off.

The SOLID SOUTH was turned entirely from being a bedrock of the Democrat label to being a bedrock of the Republican label.

It didn't happen because we ran lifelong Republicans for those seats. It happened because we found Democrats to switch brands to run as Republicans.

When it comes to Ideology you want to stick with CONSERVATIVE and Leftwingtard (or variations on that theme, e.g. Commie, Chicom, Pukes, etc.)

When it comes to Party we are all going to end up being Republicans or Democrats because that's the way the math works out in any single-member district system with "first past the post" winner take all voting systems.

When you misuse the term RINO you end up calling all the Republicans RINOs because they may have supported the deal with Mubarak and the Egyptian Army ~ (which is utterly ridiculous).

Radical Islam the problem?
Brutal Authoritarian regimes the problem?
Lack of Free Market Capitalism the problem?

Nope, the problem is always America, 24/7, 365 days/year

/ Paulrhoids

It makes one wonder when these people will snap. If I lived in a country that I thought committed murder against her own people, I would leave immediately, at the very least.

When will the Wikileaks reveal the 911 operatives? Probably when they also reveal the CIA killed JFK?
