Mitch McConnell has struck while the iron is hot.
One day after federal District Judge Rodger Vinson ruled that the entire Democratic health care law is unconstitutional, McConnell told his GOP colleagues that he will force a vote on repealing it, bringing it up as an amendment to the Federal Aviation Administration reauthorization bill

We need to pressure the four Democrats below to vote for Repeal. There is no time to waste on this, as Harry Reid wants this over with asap. It is very likely that the vote will happen today.
Please make your calls, send faxes, and emails. Let them know that their vote is for all Americans!

This has got to be driving the left up the wall.
Just the fact that their ‘big gun” pundits haven’t had too much to say shows how discombobulated they are. They have to have round after round of conference calls with the deep thinkers of their party (the George Lakoffs and Tom Friedmans) in order to decide what to say in public. This phase will be over soon, and you can bet that the strategy they come up with will be a doozy.
Please contact these folks, and feel free to share this information with any other like minded friends and family.
May God give us strength.

But I read on another thread that they are bringing it to the floor in a manner that will require 60 votes to win - that means that up to 12 Demonrats can vote to repeal and it still won’t pass. All for show - and the show will be that Demonrats in red or near red states will be able to claim they voted for repeal.
changed til tomorrow
Any word if our not so noble Republican solons will also be voting to dump their own tax payer funded health insurance and perhaps their more than generous pensions, or maybe even stop paying the school loans of their bloated staffs with our money?

I hope that one day this turns into something tangible. I don’t want the big government GOP saying they tried, failed, and then forget about it.
Let’s hope so. I am going to contact my reps again, even though they are Repubs, to impress upon them the importance of “influencing” any of the folks on the other side of the aisle, and if any of ya’ll know of any even remotely sane seeming Dem representatives that are not on the short list, by all means, share their information with us so that we can try to appeal to their better nature :)
Source please?
The public still has no idea what's in the bill that passed.
This is payback. May not have much of a chance with the communists (formally the Democratic Party) most certainly not vote to repeal.
Changed by whom?
If by Mitch, bad news. If by the Dingy One (most likely), he's scrambling for votes.
I think Mitch has put them on the spot.
McConnell, you magnificent bastard!
Gosh, I hope not : / I just got word, and will look into that. It sounds like just the kind of underhanded chicanery that Dingy would resort to : \
We won’t let them “forget about it”!
Baynative wrote - “When contacting republican leadership, remind them that is each senator would just take 45 pages and have their staff go through it for information to share with the public this battle would be ours for the taking.”
Really good idea!! Thank you. I will tell mine that, and challenge, (politely of course ;) the short list to do the same :)

Haven’t heard that but that is why you call them.... you know they do so LOVE to hear our input ; P
May God give us strength and the ability to use our brains ; }
Let’s make it TODAY.
If Manchin lost like he was supposed to we’d only have 3 to worry about.
