Myth Romney has been so coy and nuanced about running that Americans won’t have his decision until 2013 at the earliest.

To be fair, Sarah is playing the same "haven't made up my mind" game and nobody is attacking her here for it (except Pissant).

It's February 2011 folks. There's still too much to do before you announce your candidacy and thus restrict yourself in some of the tv appearances and other things one does at this stage in the race. That's why nobody smart is announcing yet that they are running, Sarah included.

I'm no Romney supporter but bashing him over this is a little childish. There's a reason none of the legit contenders have declared yet and so they're all playing this "haven't decided yet" game and lying through their teeth about it.

If you're NOT planning on getting in at this point, they probably are sitting out. But if you ARE planning to get it, now is not the time to make it official.

He’d gain a lot of respect if he dropped out. A lot is made of how conservatives need fall in line for the good of the party. Could you imagine if Romney and Huckabee stayed out and endorse Palin? There would be instant unity plus they’d both end up better off politically in the end. I’d sure look at them differently. No one is talking about it but Romney is the one who has failed to do what he needed to do to gain credibility as a conservative. Unlike McCain, Romney has not said he was wrong on MA Romneycare and now it is too late to even seem credible renouncing it now.

His only remote chance at ever being President is to get there via the VP slot like George H Bush under Reagan.
I really doubt though he has the capability to face the facts. He was the best funded candidate of 2008, he had early leads which evaporated and then lost to John McCain.
Nothing has changed and he has did nothing to improve his profile among primary voters. Any leads he has now in primary polling are empty because right now interest is low and as it increases his numbers will decrease in most places.

The candidate that has most improved his standing I believe is Huckabee.I hope he stays out and throws his support to Palin provided she runs. If that happens Palin will be the nominee without much of a fight.

Ummm, Mitt, there’s already a candidate in—at least as far as with an exploratory committee—who has extensive private sector experience. Mr. Cain has that well covered.

Of course, Mitt would probably further clarify that as wanting to see someone in with both private sector and gubernatorial experience, to which I say, Governor Palin, step on down!

All this campaign coyness is rather tedious.

Spoiler Romney OWES it to his wife to give up and go away.

Romney should stop abusing her (and his dog and the GOP).

The question still remains....What the heck do you do with people that refuse to get insurance. Can we please make a law that says if you don’t have insurance than take out a loan or credit card (before any medical care). If you don’t pre-pay than you don’t get seen and that includes heart attacks, cancer, stomach ache, etc. We can no longer have it both ways. These folks without insurance have it made. They walk into an emergency room to get seen for free while the next month they are vacationing in Hawaii. I cannot understand how conservatives put up with this.

Remember that McCain was running 2nd and 3rd during the early primaries in 2008. Too bad he didn’t drop out early.

Thank God he didn't drop out, but held on to bring us Sarah. That was the crowning achievement of his entire political career, and the one thing he'll be remembered for.

It's not like the un-insured get free healthcare.

They get a bill just like you or I would, with or without insurance.

...they simply don't pay their bill.

Since you are all for a new law, let's make a law that the deadbeats get locked up if they don't pay their bill & then have them work it off with community service till they die or pay their bill, whichever comes first.

I would go for that. I also wish they would make a bill that says you cannot claim medical bills when you claim bankruptcy and also you cannot transfer your bill and use a credit card or loan from the bank.....if you have insurance you can use those methods, but it you are too lazy to have insurance than you have to use a check or money order to pay.....also if you don't pay on time....after three misses you will be in jail for life. You basically fraud-ed the hospital out of thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars which would account for the life in prison with no chance for parole. If this were to happen, we would not have people getting away without having insurance.

polling is a political tactic used to defeat your opponent. The democrats want a weak Republican running for President. This is the reason that you will see Romney’s name leading on most of the polls. They want him running for President, much as they wanted Mccain running for President. They do not want Palin running , this is the reason that all the attacks are against Palin not Romney. just a big game! Right now a Palin / Huckabee ticket might be a good ticket.
