Smart parent until the teenagers elevate to using guns instead of just slapping people around. Quoting our dear leader, if they bring a knife to the fight, we will bring a gun. Vietnam is not the only place in the world where things are going to shit. (excuse my language)

Remove the Judeo-Christian world view, and the result is predictable.
But you cannot remove the true followers of Christ. In China, 1 in 10 are believers, and there are tens of thousands of house churches in Vietnam.
Collectivism can only ruin and kill so much.
