Pentagon leaders preparing for a new culture of gays serving openly in the military are serving notice that discrimination will not be tolerated.
Defense Secretary Robert Gates also directed his policy staff in a memorandum to move ahead carefully, but expeditiously, to end the 17-year-old "don't ask, don't tell" policy instituted during the Clinton administration.
Officials said they will complete implementation plans for the new policy by next Friday and will commence training in February.

They should put all the queers in the same unit, send them to the fiercest fighting, repeat as necessary.
I pray every day that God would deliver us from the evil that afflicts us in the person of Obama and his minions and handlers and replace them with Godly men and women at all levels of government throughout America.
DADT did not change military policy regarding homosexuals in the military, the prohibition on still existed in the military code of conduct.
This “repeal” will entail rewriting military codes of conduct to remove such prohibition and, among other things, extend some of the benefits to homosexuals that married couples have, a blatant violation of DOMA.
The same way that Marxists in our government do just about anything - simply ignore the law. They have no qualms about this at all.
Well, first (and not to split hairs on semantics) the "military code of conduct" has nothing to do with homosexual conduct. The "code of conduct" has to do primarily with the behavior of service members in the the theater of combat, and especially upon capture by the enemy. It is an Executive Order issued by Eisenhower, and ammended by several presidents since then.
Moreover, the UCMJ is not military "policy" but US federal law. 10 USC §654(b) - aka DADT - canceled the existing DoD Directive 1332.14. That directive (which is military policy) was the prohibition of homosexuals in uniform. After the implementation of 10 USC §654(b), 1332.14 was amended to reflect the policy requirements set forth in that federal statute. In fact, it was amended several times over the last 18 years, and it was amended as recently as October of last year. Yes, it is true that the Don't Ask, Don't Tell Repeal Act of 2010 does not undo 1332.14, but it does not return 1332.14 to the days prior to DADT. It leaves the current order intact - and that order calls for the administrative separation, not prosecution, of known homosexuals.
As I said to someone else, the President (or SecDef) will presumably issue a countervailing order in the near future, and it is that order that will end the DoD policy prohibiting homosexuals in the military.
Lastly, the Don't Ask, Don't Tell Repeal Act of 2010 specifically addresses the delivery of benefits to homosexual "partners", and it says...
"(d) Benefits- Nothing in this section, or the amendments made by this section, shall be construed to require the furnishing of benefits in violation of section 7 of title 1, United States Code (relating to the definitions of marriage and spouse and referred to as the Defense of Marriage Act).
So long as DoMA is the law of the land, the US military will be legally prohibited from furnishing "benefits" of any kind to homosexual service members who may be legally "married" to their partner.
"Worse, this gay issue will be the undoing of our military, for so many reasons stated so many times." That says everything that needs to be said. This will go down in history as the ruin of our military. Political correctness destroys everything it touches. But the Communists in charge knew this all along and made darn sure the opportunity didn't pass to accomplish this on their watch. Everyone involved in promoting this perverted piece of policy will go down in history as the ones who took down the world's greatest military without a shot being fired.
give them a month or two, seriously, are you joking?
You want to get rid of don’t ask and then have homosexuals in your face on base?
Give them a month or two, Hell we’;ve been appeasing this queer agenda for years and still they push for more of their agenda and it is high time the GOP and these so called republicans get a grip and s spine and say no
EXACTLY ,WELL SAID
I’m fed up of hearing about the budget,,,,,yes we know but how about these talk radio hosts and TV hosts like Hannity inform their viewers of the social issues but hey they like to play it safe while taking conservative money.
They’re nothing but cowards for many of them
same here.
It amazes me that some so called republicans remain quiet on social issues like this queer agenda because they want to either give these homosexuals a chance or they just play it safe for their own benefit .
Either way it’s high time that we had men and women who have a spine and can speak up as staying silent or saying well give them a chance or time is helping the left to pass their agenda.
Complete with red carpet and tutu’s I’m sure.
“Private Parts, move out on the double!
“Yeth Thir, as soon as I find my pink beret.”
Of course. But imagine if Palin or W had said that.
I cannot think of any institution in American life that has permitted the intrusion of homosexuality that has not deteriorated.
Evidence is public education at all levels, the information media led by the NYT, certain orders of Roman Catholicism and whole denominations that are Protestant, so-called entertainment and mass media....
And now the last bastion of Traditional Values, our Armed Forces.
It had to be taken down
"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; "
Ephesians 6:12-18
Not quite... It is military law -not presidential edict AND it has an amendment and change process that is lawfully prescribed. It can not be changed on a whim, even on a highly touted progressives homosexual sex whim.
The UCMJ is the Uniform Code of Military Justice -the Bluebook as I was taught in the US Navy. It applies to ALL military and is not limited as you suggest to for instance "theater of combat"... Its history predates the history of the country. It was not created in 1950 but revised and incorporated into federal statute following WWII (yes they had it during WWII before the fed incorporated it into USC -in fact, they had it during the revolution). Homosexual sex has ALWAYS been illegal per military law...
Anyway, we are a nation that believes in the rule of law and not the rule of man. Even in regard to the military this is so, the President, is limited to what he can and can not do, order, or change.
What some understand to be but a superficial victory falsely termed the "repeal" of a policy that actually permitted violation of the UCMJ as long as said violation was not 'officially' observed and documented is no more a victory than it is a repeal. It is meaningless propaganda trumpeted by those who promote homosexual sex acceptance by society. The running policies of our military are no more driven by public opinion and mob rule than our country is a democracy versus a republic.
IF the evil homosexual sex progressive crusade is to succeed moving forward over the good then the UCMJ has to be changed to allow homosexual sex and there is an official lawful process for doing so. An executive wave of hand does not accomplish this. The Executive implements the law e.g. the UCMJ; he does not write the law. The USA is not a totalitarian state.
I do not expect the propagandizing media to do any research and reporting on the facts here though it would be nice to see on this issue. Anything beyond the 'gay' window dressing and homosexual sex is good platitudes; however, I doubt it will happen as they are too busy celebrating this 'victory' for orifice diversity and homosexual sex justice...
Anyway, one can find at the following link, and many other places, the lawful UCMJ change process:
Speaking to Pentagon reporters, Gen. James Cartwright said he expects the military services to move expeditiously to train the bulk of their units, and that a year for completion is "a good goal."Still, he added, "there's nothing that tells us that it's not reachable, but we have to allow for the fact that we may discover something between now and then."
Cartwright, the vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said he expects the services will know within the first month of training how well they are doing and how quickly they will be able to proceed.
Something tells me the "repeal" will never happen because the leftists have been repealed in the House and will be fully repealed in DC before they can ever hope to impose homosexual sex upon the military
When you say "it", I'm assuming you're talking about the "Code of Conduct" (which is now officially known as the Code of the US Fighting Forces). Yes, that does have to do almost exclusively with obligations of US service members who are serving in theaters of combat, or have become captured by enemy forces. It describes how they should behave, and what information they are allowed to provide their captors. It is military law, administratively established by Executive Order issued by the President.
"The UCMJ is the Uniform Code of Military Justice -the Bluebook as I was taught in the US Navy. It applies to ALL military and is not limited as you suggest to for instance "theater of combat"..."
Right. I didn't say the UCMJ only applied to "the theater of combat". You should reread what I wrote. I was speaking specifically about the "Code of Conduct". The "Code of Conduct" and the UCMJ are entirely separate - one is administrative law established by Executive Order, and the other is statutory law.
"Homosexual sex has ALWAYS been illegal per military law... "
Yes, open homosexuality has been prohibited since the founding of the country, and has been military law. BUT, it was not part of the UCMJ until 1992. Prior to then, it was addressed only is directives established by the President, SecDef and/or service Secretaries & command. Still law, but not statutory law.
"Anyway, one can find at the following link, and many other places, the lawful UCMJ change process: "
Thank you for the link. Perhaps it will add to what I learned practicing military law as a Navy JAG for 25-years of my adult life.
The characters in Animal Farm were not real animals. It was all satire, a metaphor.
Oh, and I was being facetious. I meant that military bearing won’t go out the door immediately. It will take a month for the homohappy brigade to destroy that.
I dunno. Short of having specialy designated Drill Sergeant style NCOs to check on stringing up soldiers’ behaviors and getting them to work or get out, I do not see how this is going to function. It’s going to be like trying to separate pitt bull power struggle gay freaks protected by JAG from good dogs of service in an open kennel. Good luck with that.
You are quite welcome.
