Military Rolls Out Plan to Repeal Gay Ban

Pentagon leaders preparing for a new culture of gays serving openly in the military are serving notice that discrimination will not be tolerated.

Defense Secretary Robert Gates also directed his policy staff in a memorandum to move ahead carefully, but expeditiously, to end the 17-year-old "don't ask, don't tell" policy instituted during the Clinton administration.

Officials said they will complete implementation plans for the new policy by next Friday and will commence training in February.

Now that combat operations have ended in Afghanistan, the military now needs something to do.

I wish they would stop disingenously calling it “ending don’t ask/don’t tell” - it does no such thing; or the military would ban homosexual outright as it had before DADT.

They should call it like it is: sodomizing the military.

Self persecution they deny, death they choose, death they will get.

The health care costs of female soldiers and their ineffectiveness in combat, to this day, has been squashed and ingored as a scandal of huge proportion.

Now we are going to have an openly rapist military with a host of problems.

"I wish they would stop disingenously calling it “ending don’t ask/don’t tell” - it does no such thing; or the military would ban homosexual outright as it had before DADT."

Actually, that's not entirely accurate. What Congress passed was repeal of is known colloquially as DADT. The repeal also cedes to the Executive, discretion and time with respect to when the repeal is enacted. Then, like before the implementation of DADT, the homosexual military policy issue will be at the sole discretion of the President. He will, presumably, issue an Executive Order that will rescind the previous order of Reagan (I believe), and it's that order that will allow homosexual to serve "openly" in the Armed Services.

After Obama leaves office, the next President could (theoretically) reverse that military policy.

Of course, there is ongoing litigation seeking to prohibit (so-called) discrimination against gays serving openly in the military, which is wholly separate from this repeal.

Notice how this is phrased “repealing the gay ban?”

How about instead calling it “the first ever admission of open homosexuals and permission to practice homosexual acts in the US military?” Just to be technically accurate about it.

DADT itself was a repeal of the strict prohibition of homosexuals serving in the US military. Homosexuals could serve if they didn’t talk about it or admit to it, and didn’t get caught committing any homosexual acts.

So what is being done now, is effectively demanding that everyone *else* in the military has to abide open homosexuals in the military, and open homosexuals committing homosexual acts in the military.

Which puts a very different complexion onto this, doesn’t it?

The amusing thing is how only crazy people would ever dare to admit they were homosexuals in the military. Because despite all their hilarious “group therapy” indoctrination, for anyone to announce that they are a homosexual, or to be caught committing a homosexual act, will be, in effect, a death penalty.

It is downright hilarious to think that this can be counseled out of soldiers, or threatened out of them, or nattered out of them, or whined out of them, or all the other little tricks in the liberals bag.

And no commander in his right mind should be stupid enough to put down that homosexuality was the proximate cause of some soldier being murdered. Anything other than that, but not that. Or the entire command will be punished.

So homosexuals will die. And likely heterosexuals who are suspected of being homosexuals. And proper congratulations should go to the liberals.

Before, if someone was a homosexual, they would just be kicked out. Now, they will be murdered, and likely, pretty brutally. And the liberals should be reminded of this fact, not that they care, because they got to conduct their little experiment, and show how much control they have over the lives of soldiers.

Military Rolls Out Plan to Repeal Gay Ban

I get tired of the propagandized false headlines. The military has ALWAYS banned homosexual sex. DADT is not and never was a 'gay' ban. [It] was a leftist triangulation compromise upon truth -a free pass for those that could relegate homosexual sex secondary to God and country by keeping it in the closet.

If this leftist absurdity stands we will see homosexual sex perverts who serve homosexual sex before they serve God and country...

To think that we are now saying to fighting men that they have to share bunks, sleeping bags, showers and have to now put up with men holding hands and kissing on base

You are correct and it won’t be changed with this congress. Hopefully, West, Hunter etc. will be able to throw some monkey wrenches into this process.

They’ll just take a magic marker and back out the word “sodomy” in the UCMJ.

That’s all the did with one of my reenlistment contracts. They use to be able to ask if you ever engaged in homosexual activity on the contract...they just crossed that out.

Let the legal charges fly...our military will be bogged down in this idiotic indoctrination & the milcourts. Careers will be destroyed & those who adhere to biblical perspectives on homosexuality/fornication will be the ones being discriminated against.

Thank God I will be retired in April. If not I would refuse to attend the training on the basis of it violates my religion.

Equal rights go both ways. Unfortunately the Army’s Equal Opprtunity program isn’t equal.

Let the lawsuits begin (I pray!):

“...It is beyond governmental authority to force these Americans into situations that compromise their morals. The Selective Training & Service Act of 1940 permits the granting of Conscientious Objector status to “One who by reason of religious training and belief is conscientiously opposed to participation in war.” Little known is: People v. Stewart, 7 Cal. 143, “Conscientious Scruple. A conscientious scruple against . . . doing military duty, or the like is an objection or repugnance growing out of the fact that the person believes the thing demanded of him is morally wrong, his conscience being the sole guide to his decision . . . ” (Black’s Law Dictionary). This “Conscientious Scruple” provision appears to give Marines of conscience a legal remedy for a morally compromising situation of serving under or with Marine homosexuals....”
