Sarah Palin has received a record amount in Small Donations for her PAC, better than Obama & Hillary
Thursday January 27, 2012

Posted on 01/27/2011 5:13:48 PM PST by Bigtigermike

Political Action Committee or PAC are not used for a Presidential run, however they are used to gauge grassroots support and fundraising abilities as well as organization skills for a potential Presidential run.

Sarah Palin small donor total from her PAC is amazing and outstanding. For the 2009-2010 cycle SarahPAC raised a total of around 3.8M among small donors. In comparison, in the 2005-2006 cycle Obama’s HopeFund PAC raised a total of around 1.5M among small donors, tops among potential candidates at that time.

McCain’s StraightTalkAmerica was second with around 1.4M among small donors. No one else was even close. Romney had a total of 30k, Clinton 14k, and Rudy 9k.

In 2010 alone Palin raised around 2.4M among small donors. Again in comparison Obama raised 1.1M among small donors in 2006. So, by any measure her success among small donors is really unprecedented. It far surpasses any previous effort. Record-breaking for sure, We all recall how the media went crazy over Obama’s small donors.

Having possibly 40k-50k or better in number of small donors is a very strong base to start out with considering she began with absolutely nothing. When you add in the 200k+ email list they said they had listed in Junes numbers that were release (it's likely to be well above 300k by now), the close to 3M on facebook, and the twitter followers, she is in a very, very good position, Better than Obama and Hillary minus the big top dog donors

By the way, Palin has not had a single fundraiser for her PAC involving Top dollar donors, she appears to shun big dollars, nor does she have multiple PAC's like Mitt Romney

Consider this: Romney already had a PAC in both the 06 and 08 election cycles and had a whole network from his campaign in 08. Obama in 06 had already had a PAC up and running in 2004. Hillary in 2006 had already ran a PAC in 2000-2004.

For starting from scratch Palin broke records among small donors. Smashing them. She saw her strongest returns in the summer and fall of 2010 when they have traditionally been slow periods for PACs (ie see TEA Party)

Conclusion: Sarah Palin has an unprecedent level of support from the grassroots (average person) unmatched by anybody in recent memory. It is yet undetermined what will happen once she announces officially to run for President but by these numbers in her PAC, we may witness one of the biggest if not the biggest groundswell of Conservative grassroots movements in support of Sarah Palin. Despite what polls numbers say, she is in a very strong position over many potential candidates and even better than Obama & Hillary in comparison numbers wise - No wonder the Establishment GOP and Liberals are very afraid, Palin wields great power

Pissant doesn't want to believe that Sarah had more small donor dollars than DeMint.

But no... that can't be! She's un-electable, and her negatives are in the stratosphere! She gave that video after the Tuscon shooting, and she said "blood libel." She forfeited her last chance to be president.

Are you telling me I can't believe every expert in the whole Media? And what about all those polls?

LMAO!!!

Palin's gonna (metaporically) kick O'Bungwad in the rocks. Li'l Barrio gwine be walkin' funny once the 'Cuda done finished with his sorry punk ass.

8^D

DeMint has a campaign fund that has donations from influence buyers.

DeMint has several PACS. His personal leadership PAC equivalent to Palin's, Obama's and Clinton's (as cited by the OP) is MINT PAC.

In the 2009-2010 cycle, that PAC had a total 0f $127K in receipts. Data is at opensecrets.org.

His other PACS get the influence money, including the Senate Conservatives Fund, which took in $9M in this cycle, mostly from corporations (influence buyers).

Apples to apples (personal leadership PAC), DeMint took in $127K in this cycle, Palin $5.4 million.

On the contrary. I do believe it. But her PAC info is not as accessible as Demints, apparently.

The hilarious thing is that she spent almost twice as much money on political & media consultants to help her buy a clue as she did on distributions to candidates.

By all means, give to SarahPac

I've always said Sarah will break all campaign contribution records when she announces. She will start a National Rally unprecedented in American history. The MSM will go wild. We shall go wilder!

IMO, that's a perfect description of what she's getting ready to do.

You'd think with that kind of $$, she'd do better than attaching Sputnik to the USSR going broke. She needs a new staff.

demint’s and sarah’s PAc were two different animals. Demint started his PAC for the expressed reason of funding senate candidates. He pitched it so that all monet collected would go to those candidates. those donating to demint’s PAC were donating to individual conservative senate candidates not Demint personally.

gov Palin’s was a personal PAC with money raised going to Sarah so she could use the money to advance her and her picked candidates.

you can not compare the two.

Problem is there are a lot of ‘nutty buddy’ conservatives and libertarians. If you aren’t nutty enough then you aren’t presidential. I consider them nearly as bad as Rhinos because they’d rather be consumed with minutia than overriding principles where as Rhinos tend toward single issue strategizing and obsession with forwarding liberal social issues and accepting liberal premises while being fiscal moderates.

Look, I love Sarah and think she is the salt of the earth. She to me is the idea of exactly the model and ideal citizen and would pray for a neighbor, wife, relative, and friend like her.

What I fear most is the vipers nest in both parties thast would spend 24/7 out destroying her were she to run.

I prefer to see her doing what she is doing, making millions, living the life, and providing for her family.

The satanic cult in DC is simply too evil for her to wade in to.

Elect Sarah Palin for President 2012

Re-Elect President Sarah Palin 2016

... Ronald Reagan said, “You can’t be for big government, big taxes, and big bureaucracy and still be for the little guy.” President Obama’s proposals last night stick the little guy with the bill, while big government and its big corporate partners prosper. The plain truth is our country simply cannot afford Barack Obama’s dream of an “exceptionally big government” that may help the big guys, but sticks it to the rest of us.

One of Ronald Reagan's strengths was his connection to the people. I have no fears of Sarah in DC. It is DC that is fearing Sarah! She is the anti-Beltway person that can start redirecting the country. We need a firm hand at the tiller, and a good team on the decks! That is why I would rather see more conservatives in the Legislatures, both state and Fedrool. Tea Party politics is a new game in town!!!

Elect Sarah Palin for President 2012

Re-Elect President Sarah Palin 2016

... Despite the flowery rhetoric, the President doesn’t seem to understand that individuals make America great, not the federal government. American greatness lies in the courage and hard work of individual innovators and entrepreneurs. America is an exceptional nation in part because we have historically been a country that rewards and affirms individual initiative and offers people the freedom to invest and create as they see fit – not as a government bureaucrat does. Yes, government can play an appropriate role in our free market by ensuring a level playing field to encourage honest competition without picking winners and losers. But by and large, government should get out of the way. Unfortunately, under President Obama’s leadership, government growth is in our way, and his “big government greatness” will not help matters. ... 1/27/11

I’m not kidding, she has 5 kids, and I really dont know if they are mentally prepared to see their mother trashed and attacked 24/7 100 fold than what we see now. If you think what we have seen already is bad, my God, she would be facing hell 24/7 from these vampires IN BOTH PARTIES and I do not tyhink it is worth it considering the huge impact she has outside of DC rallying the troops and doing her thing.
