Democratic congressman Dennis Kucinich of Ohio has sued a congressional cafeteria for dental damage he says he suffered after biting into an olive pit in a sandwich wrap he bought there.

The suit says the wrap "contained dangerous substances, namely an olive pit" that a consumer would not reasonably expect to find in the product served. The suit says that Kucinich suffered "serious and permanent" dental and oral injuries requiring multiple surgical and dental procedures.

The bucks he gets, if he gets any will come from the taxpayers. We’re 1.5 trillion in the hole, a few more bucks won’t be missed.
If not, probably his dental insurance provided by taxpayers paid for it. If so, he should be made to put any money from suit into public coffers.
Being the pain that he is, any money rewarded for his pain should be doubled!
Wow at that rate if I had sued every time I bit on a piece of bone, an olive pit, gotten something hot spilled on me, etc., I would probaby be able to pay off the national debt by now. LOL! Then the democrats wonder why insurance rates are so high! It seems pretty obvious that this congressman has no common sense. I would personally expect that there was a possibility that I might find an olive pit in something that had olives in it and I think any reasonable person would have this expectation. How many times have you opened a jar or can of pitted olives and found one with a pit in it?

You can be sure he has full dental coverage. Let his insurer sue to recover, if they want to.

On my first trip to Chile I was munching on an empanada and they have olives in them...not pitted! Popped a filling and couldn't sue a soul.
Here in Ohio, we don’t call him Koo-koo-Kucinich for nothing.
Maybe so, but somebody up there elected him.
Since Dennis’ district is possibly going to vanish with re-districting, I guess he needs some sort of windfall to tide him over.
