Chris Matthews was nearly apoplectic in his questioning of Tea Party Express co-founder Sal Russo on the topic of Congresswoman Michele Bachmann and her controversial re-imagining of history where the founding fathers found a way to end slavery in their lifetime. Repeatedly calling Bachmann a "balloon head," Matthews demanded to know why Russo and the Tea Party wanted Bachmann to give a response to the State of the Union address or, more generally, why they ever wanted her to open her mouth in the first place?

Glad someone posted on this as I saw this painful segment last night.
One of my favorite pet peeves is how conservatives and elected Republicans go on these MSNBC ‘trap’ shows totally unprepared for the onslaught attack by the hosts and guests. In this case Tea Party Express co-founder Sal Russo went up against both Matthews AND Salon liberal race baiting witch Joan Walsh. After Russo was yelled at by Matthews for five or so minutes over Bachmann's comments on slavery, Matthews switches to Walsh who attacks Russo personally, and when he tries to defend himself Walsh says, “ Don't interrupt me, you had plenty of time to talk ” when he had NO time to talk. Whenever this happens I always ask :” Don't they watch these shows before they go on them? ”. How could he not know it was an attack when Matthews put Joan Walsh on the same segment? Pat Buchanan is one of the few (MSNBC paid) Republican guests that have the debating experience to go on these shows and stand up to these liberal idiots.

He should have either walked off or stated firmly :"I am NOT here to talk about the history of slavery"

Whew, Chrissy ate that guy’s lunch. That was painful to watch.
Tea Party needs a better spokesman than Sal Russo.
I think Bachman’s comments were lousy in the way she framed it. I don’t think she really meant it the way Chrissy took it but if she keeps explaining things in the way she did in that speech she will get trounced worse than Palin on Katie Couric.
I like Bachman but some of these people like her who are relatively new to politics are going to have to manage their speeches better.
MSNBC, FOX, Bloomberg, ABCCBSNBC are all corrupt whores working to make sure that republicans and democrats stay at each others throats so that nothing changes to threaten the elite. A revolution is coming and it is not going to be safe for corrupt politicians or banksters. I just hope the revolutionaries don’t forget to target the ones who made it possible for the crooks to destroy our country, the MSM!
I have NO IDEA WHATSOEVER why any conservative would ever go on Chris Matthews show... ever.
I honestly think Matthews is a bigger lunatic that Olberman. Olberman is a pompous jerk but Matthews is truly insane. It’ll be fun to watch him finally go off the deep end and have to be put away. I’m not sure who’ll go first though, O’Donnell or him.
Because we TEA Party members are tired of: lame brained RINOs who you in the media put out in front so often and who purport to speak for "the Party," "Republicans," and/or "conservatives, " and we're tired of "empty headed Socialists like you and other media whore lap dogs who shout unceasingly"

This is how the exchange mostly was. If Russo really said anything, Matthews would overtalk him or accusing him of being a taped person (like he accused Bachmann of Zombieism.)
There is zero point going on this guy's show. You will NEVER get to finish a sentence.

I’m with you on this - our people need to get their heads out of the clouds. Liberals in the MSM - and especially Chris Matthews - hate us.
Chrissy STFU no one cares what you say. Who they hell do you think you are to tell me who can and can not speak for me? You sure as hell do not. Obama sure as hell does not.

Exactly and it drives me nuts when the left, matthews and the like start spewing lies. Even if they are to stupid to realize that’s what they are doing. I hope and pray they get caught in their own little trap and soon. If the African American community as a whole knew the truth, they’d never vote democrat again.
And then he goes over to Joan Walsh who says to Russo :”Don't interrupt me, you had plenty of time to talk”.
I have occasionally seen this on the Ed Schultz show panel where Ed interrupts the Republican over and over and then liberal Joe Madison gets the floor and says to the Republican“Don't interrupt me. I didn't interrupt you” while attacking him.
You have to go on these shows prepared for war assuming the host (especially Matthews or Maddow) is an enemy. You have to call him biased on the show.
Chrissy is a very emotional left wing anchor, but 'Sal' was ineffectual to say the very least. He did not answer Chrissy, he did not correct Chrissy, he did not corral Chrissy, he did not question Chrissy's abusive attitude and line of attack: "Balloon Head" - is that civil discourse? Sal did not state clearly what the discussion was about, he did not state the Tea Party objectives. IMHO the whole interview was allowed to portray the Right as composed of Chrissy clones with Rightist opinions. Stay away unless you can do better than this example.
