I am so glad there is nothing urgent or important for our congress critters to worry about except who they will sit next to at lunch the SOTU address.

So she got an offer from a different Republican. It is like 7th Grade getting up the nerve to ask someone to go to the dance. Question is, would you really want to ask Pelosi to be your date to the dance? She’d immediately get up and go talk to her girlfriends all night.

Seriously, how completely childish is this whole "kumbaya" crap? It is further evidence that we don't have serious people guiding this country. There is a lot more work to do in 2012.

Republicans really deserve all the criticism they get for their stupid behavior. Did the Democrats offer to sit with Republicans in the “back of the bus” where Obama relegated them to before the election? Did the Democrats offer to have a Republican sit next to them when they were scheming behind closed doors to write the healthcare bill? So why this ridiculous gesture? I would only sit next to Pelosi if she promised to resign right after the speech. I would want a ringside seat.

Exactly. This reminds me of the junior high dances where the boys would hang out on one side of the gym and the girls on the other.

Some sweaty-palmed boy would finally work up the courage to ask me to dance and we'd both be all nervous and self-conscious...

(Did we really think that was fun? LOL)

This silliness of invitations to sit next to members of the opposing parties being accepted or rejected is far more ridiculous than those early school dances.

But I don't wanna sit next to him! I want to sit next to someone else!
