WASHINGTON -- Two years after running against President Barack Obama, Senator John McCain says he sees a change.
Appearing on CBS' "Face the Nation," McCain expressed optimism that Obama will lead Democrats and Republicans to find common ground on key issues.

Asked if the push to repeal health care reform is a waste of time -- because Senate Democrats will block repeal and, should it pass, the president would veto it -- McCain said, "We need to have a vote on it because we promised the people we would. We campaigned that we would `repeal and replace'. We have to have a vote on repeal, so that everybody's on record whether they want to repeal. Then, I think, piece by piece, we go through -- quote -- replacing."
McCain said he believes that, this time around, Democrats are more willing to negotiate on specifics of the health care program.

At Obama's State of the Union address on Tuesday, McCain plans to sit with Sen. Tom Udall, a Democrat from New Mexico.
The Arizona Republican said he thinks having Democrats and Republicans sit together instead of dividing by parties is "a good idea."

McCain needs to go away. The RINOs can hide, but not for very long. We’re going to find that out in the next six months.

Off with his head!
Juan assures us Obama is a citizen of the US, too.
Sure... Arizona voters. Every six years.
OK. McCain thinks Obama has changed since the campaign.
Since *during* the campaign, McCain said Obama would make a good president, does that mean McCain’s opinion has changed?
McCain will go down in history as the GOP Presidential nominee who aided and abetted a communist, to infiltrate the Whitehouse.
That’s quite a legend you got working for you there, Juan. Did you ever think about sitting down and shutting the FU? We non-commies could give a shiite what you think.
Moreover, it doesn’t matter how hard you try to save your comrade, he is toast come 2012.
Finally, your wife’s money got you re-elected in Arizona, but now here this you POS commie enabler, your shiite no longer plays on the national level. Since red blooded Americans won’t negotiate with the commies who seek to destroy our nation. We are on to you, and your ilk.
There is no fool like an old fool. McCain IS and OLD FOOL!
McCain knows that 0bama is talking centrist. There is nothing wrong with 0bama having to treat the GOP with a modicum of respect. It's actually a good thing. So McCain is responding in kind. When it comes time to walk the talk, McCain can get some old media coverage saying "I'm very disappointed that the Presidents promises turned out to be false." Conservatives will get 0 coverage while they say "we never trusted 0bama in the first place."
As diluted as McCain's message it is better than none at all. McCain has a better chance of converting a Dino voter to the GOP, than a conservative writer, or talker who the moderates ignore.
I expected nothing less from McCain. Conservative failed to keep him from the GOP Prez nomination in 08. We failed to keep him from AZ Senate reelection in 10. He owes conservatives nothing and the only reason he ain't screwing us over is he hates 0bama more.
The public likes 0bama better when he isn't doing anything. Speaker Boehner has promised that for 2 years. McCain is putting pressure on for 0bama to solve problems both parties agree on. I can't think of anything the parties agree on, but you should continue to bemoan every thing you perceive as McCain's a betrayal of the US Constitution. It don't matter none.
McCain will only go out feet first. He was just reelected with a 24% margin.
I think Rachael Maddow used the same example (Loughner) to explain sb1070. I Live in WI, home of Ed Gein and Jeffery Dahmer, does that explain the Green Bay Packers?
JD was selling government handouts on an infomercial. You can praise his debates skills, but I think JD is hypocritical scum.
Could you imagine if this appeaser was actually elected POTUS? We’re probably better off w/0bama, because at least we’re watching him closely. McCain would have given us a false sense of security.
What an idiot - he deserved to lose.

If someone screws over your neighbor, you’re not a hero because you decide to negotiate with them. He is willing to empower those who would alter our way of life, just so he can appear to be stylishly thoughtful.”

VERY eloquently said!
I was listening to Hannity yesterday... He had Ann Coulter and some other dufus on with her...
I don’t trust Coulter now...
I think I’m gonna puke.
McCain = nitwit
The same Obama who rubbed your nose in the fact “the election is over” when you you attempted to make a point during the 0bamacare discussion panel?
The same Obama who exhorted hispanics to “punish their enemies” just 5 months ago?
The same Obama who shoved all that unwanted legislation down our throats during the lame-duck session in December?
The same Obama who said Republicans can ride along, but will “have to sit in the back?”
The same Obama who is this minute proposing yet more massive government spending...mere days after the national debt passed $14 TRILLION?
Pray tell, John...just what is it about Obama that has “changed?”
