Did Sarah Palin Disrespect the Stars and Stripes? (MSM complains the flag was on the wrong side)

Swampland alum KT pointed out to a few of us this weekend something we’d missed in the already much-discussed Sarah Palin video that followed the Tucson shooting: the American flag placed behind Palin to add a presidential air to the recording is on the wrong side.

Big deal, you say? Actually, yeah. The U.S. Flag code was passed by Congress nearly 70 years ago to provide exact rules for the use and display of the Stars and Stripes. One of the many rules dictates the positioning of the flag relative to a speaker:

When displayed from a staff in a church or public auditorium, the flag of the United States of America should hold the position of superior prominence, in advance of the audience, and in the position of honor at the clergyman’s or speaker’s right as he faces the audience.

So when did her Private Living room become a Church or Auditorium? And she's just a private citizen and yet they attack her from every minuet angle and criticize her over every fake controversy even to the point of implying she has a hand in murder!

The mexican flag gets hoisted above the American flag, at a US school, an American student takes it down and put the American flag on top - as it should be - and the American kid gets expelled.

Palin, meanwhile, has converted a garage apartment or something at her home into a TV studio. It is not a government venue, or any kind of auditorium.

In government there are people assigned to make sure the flag displays and decorum are just right and perfect...the President doesn't do that...in fact this president we have now would just as soon not fly the flag at all...he hates it.

Time magazine is trying to survive on its reputation, which they are destroying very rapidly. Those who have no already boycotted it - like me - will be doing so very soon.

NewsLies are getting very old to the American people - as so long as the MSM serves as obama's crotchrocket they will see viewers/readers/listeners go more and more for alternative news sources.

Well, his actions have spoken volumes about his “patriotism”.

That pesky flag lapel pin would be sending mixed signals and is probably a pain when he’s bowing to foreign leaders. Plus it totally detracts from his message of apology for all the atrocity for which the US is responsible.
