Speaking on CBS' "Face the Nation," the Arizona senator had some praise for the man who defeated him in the 2008 presidential election.

"The president, I think, has learned a lot in the last two years as any president does. He is a very intelligent man. I think he's doing a lot of right things," he said.

This is Mister McCain's way saying..."Owww...Thank you, sir, may I have another?"

John Sidney McCain.

Yes, an obsequious, weak-kneed approval of Mister Obama's pretend (as in FAKE) tack to the center is a good good way to get some heavy petting from the NYT, but it screws your country! Why can't you see the critical importance of honesty in the face of dishonesty?

("Foot soldier in the Reagan Revolution"? Ha!).

I think he is much worse than a “garden variety” RINO, who sometimes votes with the Dems, to our annoyance — he is actively undermining the GOP, and promoting the Dems, and of course gets a forum for this from the MSM.

Is McCain smooching up to Obama in hopes of being the next SecDef?

Arizona, you’ve done us... well someone proud. Obama perhaps...

Mccain compelled the compromised RINO GOP in Arizona to maintain "open primaries". Enough democrats voted for mccain to keep him in office. When the RINO GOP made it clear they never intended to respect conservatives or true republicans, I dropped out of the republican party.

There's no consequence one way or another here. I can request any ballot for any party I want for an election.

My political beliefs are damned, not respected by the Arizona republican party. Until they close the primaries, they can go pound sand.

Evolution? I thought that acquired characteristics can’t be passed along to the next generation.

The fools are the ones who bought his pre-election conservative schtick, supported him and re-elected him. McQueeg played them all.

Well today’s statements alone, make any endorsement of anyone other than Obama a mute exercise. These comments from today will be used to nullify anything McCain has to say leading into the November 2012 election.

He can say he supports Palin, but then the Left can bring up his comments that Obama is doing a fine job.

This guy is one of the following...

1. Senile
2. A useless tool
3. A devout Leftist playing the foil to destroy the Right

I’m banking on the third.

If the left had not pushed through McCain’s nomination on the country he never would have been the GOP candidate, and it’s entirely likely ObaMao would never have been elected president. The left foisted McCain on us, and we took the bait. Shame on us.

This is precisely why McCain was One Big Assed Mistake, Republicans, in 2008.

Sick man. Embarrassment

I very much agree. The very least we can demand from this so-called “Republican” is silence. One RINO like McCain can damage the party more than ten mouthy Democrats.

Just like during the 2008 election McCain is campaigning for obama. Man, I regret voting for him. If those of us who voted for him just because of Palin had not voted or voted against him he may have gotten less than 30% of the vote and may have been defeated in the senate race.

AZ, you screwed up, as usual. You get what you deserve. Such as sheriffs like Dupnik. Brewer and Arpaio are your only bright spots but can’t make up for mccain.

“One RINO like McCain can damage the party more than ten mouthy Democrats.”

Exactly — and yet, McCain can’t seem to be able to do the honorable thing and at least shut up.

They pulled the same thing in California. We now have open primaries too.

While the Republican party didn’t push the initiative, they were absolutely mute on it prior to the election when it was approved by the voters. It would be impossible for a Conservative group to reason that allowing Democrats to help chose their nominee, would be a good thing. None the less, the Republican party in California saw no reason to openly oppose open primaries.

I am convinced the Republican party is out to destroy any vestige of Conservatism in this nation. That being the case, they are nothing more than facilitators of the Left, the Democrats, the Marxists, the Socialists, the Communists, and the Fascists.

The only reason that I have remained a Republican was to vote in the primaries, to hopefully help choose a Conservative for the nominee.

Now that I can do that from any party, what is the reason for me to remain registered as a Republican? Seriously.

I will be re-registering as an independent within weeks.

This Republican party death-wish is too much for me to tolerate any longer.
