Here is a link I stumbled across while doing my daily Sarah search. http://www.comicsalliance.com/2011/01/20/steampunk-palin-comic// Im no comics reader, but I know the power of the medium. Some will see see this as yet one more blow to Palins dignity. I beg to differ. Steampunk in described in Wkikpedia,http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steampunk , as a genre of fantasy science fiction that explores an alternate universe in which steam is still the main source of energy. Many of the characters are part robotic. In this story Sarah Palin is depicted on the cover by artist Brian Denham http://www.briandenham.com/steampunk-palin/ as a kind of steampunk wonder woman. The interior comics are not as well drawn. In the story, the worlds store of oil has been destroyed. Sarah is leading the world in a war against a conglomerate that includes elements of nuclear power businesses and others which seeks to control the world. Obama, who appears in the comic as Robama, cautions Sarah not to take these people on because they are dangerous. Sarah tells him and a comic version of John Mc Cain to get out of the way as she heads up to Alaska to take on the bad guys. When she is successful, she discovers that the Dr. Evil on the other side is none other than Al Gore who invented Global Warning as a scheme to get rich.

I’ve got new Wallpaper.
Steam punk is cool.
bump...
I agree, the concept is really cool. I'm underwhelmed by the quality of the artwork, though. I know some FReepers who could do better.
Several here do likewise. If she isn't the GOP nominee I predict a group suicide, (young S.E. conservative demanding the first sip from the 'death chalice').
Yes - Steampunk is cool! I go to Dragon*con every year and enjoy just looking at the costumes.... and it seems the Sarah Palin comic book is already sold out.
ping for home
The cover art is awesome but the interior lineart is pretty lame.
That said, they needed to give Sarah steampunk glasses. *I* have steampunk everyday eyeglasses and I treat them like...ahem...glass. They were a strange optometrist oddity when I bought them several years ago and I absolutely adore the. They were hand-painted and I haven’t been able to find anything like them since.
Sounds neat! She has goggles up on her head in the cover picture, but the prescription specs are off-the-rack.
I just bought the last copy for sale *on the Internet*.
From Australia!
I only paid double the cover price, including shipping, so I feel fortunate.
Yeah, the beachball breasts are typical of adolescent comic-art. Unsophisticated.
Steampunk The World of Steampunk: Goggles, Gaiters & Glory
Love Carriger's books, too.
LOL, that’s great... I love the whole Steampunk genre.
I checked some books out of the library a while back, after the topic came up on the Undead Thread. A very interesting aesthetic.
From 2010 Comic-Con in San Diego
I suspect several here will commit suicide if she IS the GOP nominee.
