China's rapid growth is often painted as a threat to American interests. But President Obama said today that the country's economic progress benefits the United States and opens the door to greater international stability and humanitarian progress.
"We welcome China's rise," Mr. Obama said at a press conference at the White House with Chinese President Hu Jintao. "I absolutely believe that China's peaceful rise is good for the world, and it's good for America."

Wish this official list had used the correct form of a married woman’s name. To use the husband’s first name after ‘Mrs.’
Many people may look at this listing and think the form of addressing a married woman this way is correct because it ‘comes from the

Believe it’s still correct to say/use “Mrs. John Chen,” not Mrs. Sherrie Chen, when these names are written. Or just “Sherrie Chen.”
When Mrs. John Chen is introduced one-on-one, she can always speak up and say ‘call me Sherrie.’
Too fussy - - no big deal, you say?! To me, when ‘Mrs. Sherrie’ is used, it sounds like she married herself! And, is Sherrie Chen the wife of Paul, John, or Larry Chen???

If he were required by circumstances, Jackie Chan would side with the PRC over America in one split second.
“Jackie” is his name, for English-speaking audiences. His original (real) name is Kong-sang;... Chan was at one point barred from Taiwan for taking the mainland side about an election in the ROC, and is no advocate for freedom in China.
Don’t misunderstand, I admire and enjoy his movies as much as any. Especially the “Shanghai” series set in the American west - nice to see in those, kung-fu where all the westerners aren’t all portrayed as evil.
But don’t be blind, to where Chan’s loyalties in this situation, clearly lie.

I am not blind. I know where Jackie Chans loyalties lie, just as ours would if we were in China.
The point I was making was that he was the best on the list, and that includes the president and the presidential wookie.
Jackie Chan truly loves America, but yes, he would turn on us if he had to, agreed.
