I wish they’d write the damn bills so you can understand what the heck they’re saying. Legal mumbo-jumbo!
Woohoo!!!!!!!!!! God bless the conservatives in Congress!
I don't know why, but among the rats she is especially irksome.
Looks good. I am looking for TORT reform but so far so good.
I started to get a headache while viewing the proposed bill.
Is that the counter top model made by Ronco? I got one for Christmas. I love mine. It repeals, it replaces, it slices, it dices. It also makes julienne fries.
So the Republicans now want their OWN unconstitutional national health care bill?
What happened to repealing Obamacare and rolling back the government interference in health care that LED to the “crisis” government felt obligated to fix with more government?
Paul Broun is a doc. I trained with him.
I thought it was H.R. 2 they were voting on. Its been only about 10 workdays, and they are up to # 299 already?
bm HR 299 IH for later
Drudge now says that the House has now voted to repeal Obamacare.
No link yet. He just put it up.
yes!
Replace it with blue sky.
1. No denial based on preexisting condition;
2. 'Children' can remain on their parent's health insurance until they're 25 years old, and;
3. Health insurance can be purchased across state lines.
This would steal their most popular selling points and open the system up to cost-reducing competition without the other 2,000 pages of bureaucracy and federal mandates.
That is my congressman and fellow church-member!
“HR 299 IH
112th CONGRESS
1st Session
H. R. 299
To repeal the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010, repeal the 7.5 percent threshold on the deduction for medical expenses, provide for increased funding for high-risk pools, allow acquiring health insurance across State lines, and allow for the creation of association health plans.
IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
January 18, 2011
Mr. BROUN of Georgia introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce, and in addition to the Committees on Ways and Means, Education and the Workforce, Appropriations, the Judiciary, Natural Resources, House Administration, and Rules, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned

Sounds good to me.
Does no one ever read the link anymore? I remember a time when one would be excoriated for not reading the link.
BTW, this is the “replace” part of Repeal and Replace...and committee assignments. Seven committees...dang good!
NO replacement! NO gov’t healthcare!
The left is so good at attaching one thing to another. How about we try that! Let’s see, they want the debt ceiling raised. We want spending cuts and Obamacare gone. How about we put it all in one little bundled bill, make it short and sweet: End Obamacare, go back to 2000 spending, raise debt ceiling. Everytime the left says no, send it again. At some point, they will have to cave. No lawyerspeak. This is it. Take it or leave it, no compromise. We do this or we do nothing. While they wail and cry, our team can work on a new healthcare bill that might work.
Even the CBO Says that the repealing of the Democrats scheme of Health Care System Replacement would save a massive $540 Billion hard earned buckaroos. My guess is that the number quoted is a very conservative estimate!
