A FORLORN dog refuses to leave the muddy graveside of his owner who was killed in the floods that have brought devastation to Brazil.

Loyal pet Leao was photographed after spending a second day waiting for Cristina Maria Cesario Santana who died in the Teresopolis region.

Poor guy he will die of a broken heart. Kinda reminds me of the movie with Richard the Gerbil Gear and his dog.

Oh that is a sad picture too. We always hear of how people grieve for their pets but I just realized that pets do the same thing.

Reminds one of Greyfriar’s Bobby - 19th c. dog that guarded his master’s grave for a number of years. The Disney movie is one a remember fondly from my childhood.
