Fox 29 has confirmed the Philadelphia police have caught a suspect in the case of the Kensington Strangler, a serial attacker who killed three women in the past two months.
Fox 29 first reported that police would make an announcement in the case on Monday night. The announcement turned out to the naming of a suspect in the case.
The man was taken into custody about 20 minutes after a police press conference.
Police say a DNA match confirms the suspect is Antonio Rodriguez, a 21-year-old man, from Philadelphia’s Kensington section.
He is described as a black male, 5’ 9”, with a large scar from his ear to his throat.

That stereotype was essentially blown away when they caught that black guy who killed a whole bunch of women and buried them in and around his house. I cannot remember which city.......

What a coincidence. That would be Philadelphia.
I just watched the crime show First 48 Hours or whatever it is about a guy in St. Louis. They found a couple of dead hookers in a garage of a vacant house. The one on the bottom a few weeks old, the one laying on top was a week old.
After news reports, a guy called in every night after the news to tell them of more bodies with the same m.o.
Turned out it was a black guy sent to prison for 22 years. He had killed his wife after finding out she had turned to hooking to make more money. All of the ladies he killed were prostitutes. I think they found something like 6 to 8 bodies, but in his calls he had claimed more.
Shoot it’s been blown away since the Atlanta child killings. Not to mention the KC serial killer who took out about 7 prostitutes in KC.
Remember the DC snipers? We were all told the suspects were white males because the montgomery county police chief didn’t want to have profiling of black men, even though witnesses claimed that black men were the shooters, with a pretty good description.
That would be Kansas City. And it does seem to be more but the local news screwed everything up by saying the police were investigating his cell phone.

I would be very surprised if that label was mentioned, just because his victims were exclusively white women.
The flash mob that had hundreds of black teens beating up white people last March in Philly was never labeled a hate crime.
