WaPo does not allow comments in this article. Gee, I wonder why?
” ... bombs, assembled in a New York townhouse, exploded prematurely. Ted Gold, Diana Oughton and Terry Robbins - three brilliant and passionate young people who had decided that they must become terrorists - were killed.”
And they blowed up real good! Unfortunately, Rudd, Dorhen and Ayers were not present.
Every stupid hippie associated with the `New Left’ wasted their lives. Good riddance!
Now, back to our regularly scheduled civility.
PS “to my eternal shame, I didn’t try to stop it.”
Absolute horse s***.
Ah, Mark Rudd. Satan is waiting for you!
The FRAKING WASHINGTON POST gives this guy SPACE? And pays him to explain his TREASON?
And we are supposed to say, “Oh. That’s OK?”
Who the hell are you a$$clowns? You want MY money? You want me to think you a LEGITIMATE ‘news’ source?
“I doubt that he cares much about who won the 2010 midterms or who will win the presidency in 2012. I doubt that a man who seems so confused and desperate cares much about ideology. Sarah Palin and her cross-hairs map deserve nothing but ignominy”
How dare you.
Sarah, the Beltway on both sides have your name everywhere, and now they want to associate it with an honest-to-goodness terrorist, courtesy of the “Washington Post.”
People such as Rudd and including the likes of Ayers and his lady Bernadine, tried to smash part of our society. Yet, they crawl away to elegant hotels, shop at well run supermarkets, enjoy heat, light and warmth in their houses or apartments. They carry on in some sedentary occupation and are well paid. They have the best of medical care. The police will come if they dial 911.
How in the name of reason did they expect these things to still exist if they even succeeded in blighting just twenty five percent of our structural society?
It was said once many years ago and in another country, "In the name of God go!" Too late Mr Rudd.
Uh, no. Nobody knows the number, but it's likely not "hundreds" of thousands in the plural. He still doesn't get it
Guess it's hard to find a Starbucks there, or a descent Whole Foods.
I didn’t read a shred of humility or regret in that article. He still hasn’t “grown up” IMHO.
Mark Rudd’s website says that his commitment to fighting U.S imperialism[2] was inspired by the revolutionary movement in Cuba, which at that time was in its ninth year.[3] In 1968, Rudd and Bernardine Dohrn and other leaders of SDS were invited to Cuba to meet with Cuban, Soviet, and North Vietnamese delegates.
His experiences in Cuba strengthened Rudds anti-war and pro-Communist sentiments.[4] Rudd had described the life of Cuba as extremely humanistic and he idealized Ernesto “Che” Guevara, referring to him as the Heroic Guerilla.[5]
Ping
So someone who actively supports killing, gets their own column while someone who no direct link to killers and uses metaphors that seem violent gets death threats.
Ayers..the shabbaz goy of the Weather Underground...ironic.how hes the best known today
"Here's some matches. Set yourself on fire."
Cheers!
I knew this jerk back in the 60s, and also his friend Ted Gold, who thank goodness had an accident making a bomb.
I’m sure the Washington Post considers this distinguished commentary. WaPo is just as bad as the NY Times, but better managed. It will unfortunately take them much longer to vanish due to bankruptcy.
