TUCSON — A victim of the shooting spree here that severely injured Rep. Gabrielle Giffords was taken into custody on Saturday after the police and witnesses said the man spoke threateningly at a televised forum intended to help this stricken city heal.
Eric Fuller, 63, a military veteran who was passionate about liberal causes and who had supported Ms. Giffords, was “involuntarily committed for mental health evaluation,” according to Jason Ogan, a spokesman for the Pima County Sheriff’s office.
Mr. Fuller, who was shot in the left knee and the back on Jan. 8, was among several victims, medical personnel and others who attended a special forum televised by ABC and hosted by Christiane Amanpour.
State Representative Terri Proud, a Republican, was sitting two rows behind Mr. Fuller. The topic of gun control had come up in the forum, she said, and a comment was made by one of the speakers about a bill that was introduced recently in Arizona that would allow staff members on college campuses with concealed weapons permits to carry guns.
Ms. Proud said she spoke up to clarify the exact language of the bill. At that point, Trent Humphries, the founder of the Tucson Tea Party, who was sitting one row behind her, rose to speak and suggested that discussion about gun legislation be postponed until after the funerals. He started to explain that he, too, had been affected by the tragedy through a neighbor who was a victim.
That was, according to Ms. Proud, when Mr. Fuller blurted out to Mr. Humphries: “You’re dead.”

If there was a confrontation prior to the start of the rally why weren’t police called.
Given that this rally was taking place in a busy parking lot on a Saturday morning why were no security people in attendance.
Whoever set this rally up was big time negligent.
Did a special invitation go out to Jared. He was clearly on the mailing list as he had previously received a letter from Giffords.
Did Amanpour send a private invitation to Fuller to attend today’s so called ‘healing’ meeting. Given his vicious attacks on Boehner, etc.
Giffords went after Sarah’s map prior to the election.
Angry that the map appeared to have her in the cross hairs.
IMHO, that was simply rhetoric as Giffords claimed to be a good shot with a Glock 9 mm and a strong supporter of the 2nd. amendment. She must have seen real targets and knew darned well those symbols on Sarah’s map were NOT gun targets.
Hey, you’ve hit upon something...this guy’s threats CAN be directly tied to what the MSM has been doing. Paul Krugman, Chris Matthews, and a bunch of politicians made a false accusation that this nut acted upon.

First person to blame the tea party was Gifford’s father.
When asked if Sarah had any enemies he stated that the tea party people were her enemies. The msm took that as a suggestion that the tea party was to blame for the massacre.
Evidently if you have a political opponent they are considered your enemy. Now where could that have come from.........(Obama telling hispanics to punish their enemies.)
On ABC they’ve already interviewed the Arizona State Mental Health doctor who clearly stated that this was merely anger rising up out of the trauma he suffered in the -as Pelosi described it - accident! So this drunk with severe mental problems works for a liberal congress woman who is shot by an insane liberal. He claims he was wounded????????? in the knee when he threw himself on the ground to play dead -looks like he’s been dead for years - and then, rather than waiting for emergency care HE GETS UP, WALKS TO HIS CAR, AND DRIVES HIMSELF - using his bad knee - YO A HOSPITAL!!!!!!!!!!! Is anyone sure he was actually hit??? Did he own a gun??? Could he have kept in his car??????? Could he have shot himself in a sympathy attempt???????????JC, what planet am I on?????????????????

Fuller attempted to pay a visit to Jared’s home to console his parents and ‘forgive’ Jared.
How did he know the address since he’d been in the hospital since the massacre.
There is so much more to this story but Sheriff Dipstick is not going to truly investigate.
Perhaps the accomplice was Fuller?
And find the person who tried to burn her church down while women and children were inside.

He was, according to the sheriff, the “taxi driver” that dropped off the murderer at the scene.
I would like to hear from the Marine that he had an argument with at the Safeway before the shooting.
