I had to read the NYT story to my husband and recount it and another story I read to my husband and oldest daughters. My husband finally comprehended (listened) to what I was saying about the Fuller guy writing down the Declaration of Independence while he was in the hospital after the shooting. Hubby said that this is a technique of hostage survival. Maintaining one’s sanity in crisis. It used to be common to recite the 23rd Psalm or something similar as a way of calming oneself. It’s an anti-interrogation technique to keep one’s mind under control/steady. I don’t think I’m writing this as clearly as he said it. hah It just made me think that there’s probably a lot more to the background of Mr. Fuller than we’ve read thus far.

Trauma? How about the people who died, who were seriously injured, or had family who were seriously injured or died.
I have zero sympathy for this leftist nutjob living. Plus I’m sure there is more to this than meets the eye.

I’ve been beaten seriously several times, had to run away from crazy people, criminals and men with guns more than a few times.

In any case, even if he was really grazed by a bullet, he’s shown himself to be an evil scumbag of a very low order, working to provide Goebbels propaganda for the left.
Looking over this fellow’s postings, articles and resume, he strikes me as the quintessential liberal - the use of euphemisms (”social justice”), his non-physical disability that ended his military career (and the carefully omitted reasons for his discharge, his unit and even his MOS), service as a census-taker, recent sobriety and his less-than productive lifestyle. So what’s next for J. Eric? Easy - Obama should appoint him as Gun Control Czar.

I’m not agreeing with the new tone of proposed civility. The entire media establishment and the entire left immediately blamed a pre-meditated murder of a Bush appointed federal judge and 5 other people on conservatives. Civil? You want me to say “oh nevermind” that you blamed me? No, I’ll remember. I’ll remember daily. I’ll remember this every time I hear a leftist speak. I will never forget this.

Not petty at all. From an article I read last night, it seems he skinned his knee diving for cover.
They bandaged him up after he drove himself to the Hospital. He s attempting to become a Martyr, a really STUPID Martyr.
And from the story I read, he skedaddled out of the scene of the carnage pronto, not stopping to offer aid to any of the victims (not stated in so many words in the article, but this is what I concluded); but choosing to take himself to the hospital so the docs could take care of his booboo.
Reminds me of all the people who show up at bus crashes, swearing they were on the bus when the accident happened and now they have whiplash.
