Miles J. Fisher, 63, of New York City, was arraigned Thursday in U.S. district court on a two-count federal indictment charging him with making a threat and conveying false information in connection with a bomb hoax.
He faces up to 10 years in prison and a fine of $250,000, or both.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert C Moscati, who is handling the case, said Fisher is accused of calling the Paladino for the People campaign headquarters of then-gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino at the Ellicott Square Building in Buffalo on April 13, 2010, saying he was going to bomb all of you.
The call was reported to 911 and Buffalo police and fire responded, evacuating more than 700 people from the building.
The indictment is the result of an investigation by the Joint Terrorism Task Force and the Buffalo Police Department.
This loser probably didn’t realize that Paladino was preparing to blow his own candidacy to smithereens.
Mr. Fisher was creating a climate of violence. Wonder what his political affiliations are?
Ofcourse the media REFUSES to report where the REAL threats originate.
I didn’t think I’d be pinging the Paladino ping list any more, but kept it on hand for sentimental reasons, and here it comes in handy.
This is an old threat against Carl, but I don’t recall hearing it at the time. More media bias.
It took a while but at least they got him.
PING your lists
I have no way to tell from that if it is the same guy or not, but it might be a starting point for further investigation (either to tell the difference, or to confirm, whichever is accurate).
Cheers!
Thanks Behind Liberal Lines.
I do remember hearing about it in the Buffalo/Rochester media, but it was downplayed as just some crank. Turns out that the crank was a democRAT operative.
Find it interesting that the democRAT controlled authorities( Buffalo Police and Homeland Security) continued to pursue it to an arrest.
Paladino is a lawyer and a big figure in the Buffalo business community.
I’ll bet he knows who’s strings to pull.
who’s = whose.
Sheesh, I MUST be tired to make a mistake like that.....
