The REAL story behind the Arizona tragedy (Glenn Beck)
glennbeck.com ^ | 1/10/11 | Glenn Beck

Posted on 01/11/2011 2:08:40 PM PST by Evil Slayer

Glenn opened the TV show tonight by discussing Jared Lee Loughner’s attempted assassination of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords that left her in critical condition and six people dead, including a nine-year-old girl and a federal judge.

When Glenn found out about the shooting, he issued a note to his staff: No statement whatsoever, no speculation. It’s common sense, Glenn said, but the rest of the media didn’t seem to think that.

Ever since the shooting, Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, and Glenn have all been blamed for the actions of an insane individual. But as Glenn pointed out, the media script does not match reality. There was no violence at 8.28, yet the people there were called dangerous. This narrative has played out in the media again and again in the past few months. There was the Florida school board shooter, who turned out to be from the left. There was the census worker in Kentucky, whose suicide was originally blamed on the right.

The media needs to check its history. In 2007 the Tea Party didn’t exist, the nation barely knew Sarah Palin, and Glenn was on CNN, but in 2007 Jared Lee Loughner did show an obsession with Rep. Giffords. Glenn said that the facts do not match the media narrative that conservatives and the Tea Party are somehow responsible for what happened over the weekend.

The shooter believes the government was behind 9/11, his favorite books are Mein Kempf and Communist Manifesto, and he believes the landing of the Mars Rover was faked. Glenn could have benefited from posting that Jared Lee Loughner is exactly the same as some progressives that he’s been warning about for months, but Glenn knows it’s not the true. And he refuses to vocalize uninformed and false assumptions, speculations, and opinions.

Glenn said that only Jared Lee Loughner is to blame for the events that happened in Arizona. This should not be a time to politicize Loughner’s violent actions, but it is a time to grieve, stand together, and denounce violence from all sides.

Glenn again challenged the media, politicians, and the American people to stand against violence from all sides, and after reading the pledge he promised to stand side by side with anyone who would sign it, even if he did not agree with that person on any other topic.

Principles and values have been at the root of everything Glenn has done over the past two years. The 9/12 Project. The “Restoring Honor” rally. And now e4. Glenn says that he has called for a personal revolution wherein people will change themselves as individuals, not focus on politics and politicians.

Glenn needed additional time to cover everything he wanted to talk about, in particular the three different threats we face today. The footage is below

A Must read and video. Glenn lays it all out on the table with facts to back up his statements about the politics that are in play to wipe out our 1st Amendment rights. I consider this 17 minute video the best of Glenn's presentation of yesterday's program.

I want to comment on the vulnerability of the American people to the leftwing PC press. What IF Loughner had been a rightwing, tea-party loving conservative with a car full of rightwing bumper stickers. What difference would it make. Does one deranged individual (ala McVeigh)sabotage orthodox and conservative thought everywhere? Are we that vulnerable to one emotionally ill wacko that our entire movement can be kneecapped by one atrocious, diabolical incident? If we want to look at facts let’s look at this. Apparently this wackjob threatened previous officials, schoolmates, etc. Threatening is a felony and if somebody had enforced all the laws that are already one the book, this nihilistic Kliebold and Harris type dude would have had his gun ownership rights taken away years ago. I’m going to go way out on a limb and blame Engel vs. Vitale for a portion of this horrific tragedy. By taking God out of our schools, our public life, our Christmas creches, liberalism has created this generation of God-hating, anarchistic, nihilistic, prozac-dependent shells of human beings. Remember this guy raged about Bibles given to serviceman and other antichristian rants.

Timothy McVeigh was not a Christian. He didn't believe in Hell, which is a fundamental attribute of God's Divine Justice.

As an agnostic, McVeigh's politics and philosophy were closer to liberalism (of the Libertarian streak) instead of Constitutional Conservatism. He also had associations with Islamists, the darlings of the left.

I could certainly see Timothy McVeigh running around with the likes of Bill Ayers and the New Black Panther Party.

What IF Loughner had been a rightwing, tea-party loving conservative with a car full of rightwing bumper stickers.

That's very likely to happen one day -- either by someone who follows the tea party line that's over the top or by a "disruptor," a deliberate left-wing plant who wants to sabotage the movement. They would have to be whack jobs but that doesn't mean they wouldn't want to do a similar deed for completely different reasons.

Are we that vulnerable to one emotionally ill wacko that our entire movement can be kneecapped by one atrocious, diabolical incident?

I'm afraid we are. The CBS/Gallup poll said that 40% believe the right-wing rhetoric caused the actions of the shooter. And that's with the knowledge that he's an apolitical or leftwing whack job. I shudder to think of the reaction if he was a fringe tea party person.

Timmy was a Saddam Hussein hit man. A “lily white” used to send a message to Bush and Clinton.

Where’s John Doe number 2? Where is Terry Nicole’s wife? What happened to Andre the Kraut?

Bill Clinton did NOT want a confrontation and it was sooo easy to blame the right, and sweep it under the rug.

Tim went to his grave really fast. A suicide bomber in slow motion.

Tim was mad about what happened in Iraq, he had friends in the Iraq Marines.

Terry Nicole’s wife was Abu Sayef. She disappeared back to the Philippines after everything. No one questioned her. No one knows were she is today.

Too many things stink with that whole affair and we may never know the truth of it except that Tim was NOT a Christian.

Beck’s approach is of course the proper one. I wonder how much of this media garbage happened because the incident took place on a Saturday when the “B team” was on duty? No excuse, but having less experienced hands at the switch may have been a factor.

Sorry, I have my poll numbers incorrect. It was a CBS poll, 57% to 32%:

CBS News is out with a new poll today that finds Americans strongly rejecting the notion that the political climate played a role in Saturday's attempted assassination of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. Fifty-seven percent of respondents say that the nation's "harsh political tone" didn't have anything to do with the shooting rampage, compared with 32 percent who say it did play a role.

Hey Beck, Jesus said, “I came NOT to bring peace but a sword.”

Stop smoking you gandhi, sometimes violence is the correct and only answer. So stop disarming our people. You said you own firearms, well why do you have them?

“When the people fears the government you have tyranny, when the government fears the people you have liberty.”

“A people unwilling to use extreme violent to preserve or obtain their liberty deserves the tyrants that rule them.” SS

** Obama: “They Bring a Knife…We Bring a Gun”
** Obama to His Followers: “Get in Their Faces!”
** Obama on ACORN Mobs: “I don’t want to quell anger. I think people are right to be angry! I’m angry!”
** Obama to His Mercenary Army: “Hit Back Twice As Hard”
** Obama on the private sector: “We talk to these folks… so I know whose ass to kick.“
** Obama to voters: Republican victory would mean “hand to hand combat”
** Obama to lib supporters: “It’s time to Fight for it.”
** Obama to Latino supporters: “Punish your enemies.”
** Obama to democrats: “I’m itching for a fight.”

Might want to keep a certain violent lunatic away from Congress. Better cancel the "State of the Union" speech.

As someone else pointed out, if the Imperial Japanese Army had made it to India, Gandhi’s bayoneted, headless corpse would have been floating down the Ganges.

Gandhi’s advantage was that he was facing a relatively-civilized opponent (at least measured against the standards of the IJA).

We have no such luxury; our opponents have expressed a willingness to send one-out-of-eight of us to the ovens.

And not as bakers.

So conversly 60% don’t.

6 in 10 do NOT think “right wing” (blast from the recent past) rhetoric had anything to do with it.

Loughner’s obsession with Rep. Gabrielle Giffords began when he asked the question, “What is government if words have no meaning?”—at a 2007 open forum. It is here that the train to Loughner’s murderous rampage—Saturday, January 9th, 2011—left the station.

There is reported by a friend, Bryce Tierney, that Loughner kept a dream journal that centered around his lucid-dream related theories about the unreality of the physical world. He says if you want to understand Loughner, read the journal. Basically, Loughner was obsessed with the idea that conscious dreams are an alternative reality that a person can inhabit and control. Whether these ideas were the result of mind altering drugs (or a lack of them) or just a philosophical mind, may come out as time goes on. His question to Giffords came from his belief that if the real world wasn’t real, then nothing said there was real either. When Giffords failed to give a satisfactory answer to his question it began a long obsessive hatred of everything she did. It is my theory that Loughner may have started out with some kind of romantic obsessions with Giffords. When she failed his test of her intellectual ability, he experienced a disillusionment that turned into a rage that went on almost four years until he put a violent end to it with a murderous rampage. It reminds me of a spoiled kid who goes into a tantrum because he didn’t get what he wanted. It tells me he may not be insane. He may just be evil.

Following that 2007 forum, Loughner withdrew into his world of dreams. It replaced the real world and he became more nihilist and narcissistic. I stress the narcissistic nature of Loughner.

For the Left to think Loughner was influenced by the rhetoric of Right Wing politics is a page out of Loughner’s dream journal. To assert that Sarah Palin’s targets on a United States map caused Loughner to kill is another from the Left’s fantasy world on the unicorn farm.

The truth of the matter comes from his friend, Tierney, “He f**ks things up to f**k s**t up, there’s no rhyme or reason, he wants to watch the world burn. He probably wanted to take everyone out of their monotonous lives: ‘Another Saturday, going to go get groceries’—to take people out of these norms that he thought society had trapped us in.”

Sorry dude but your are taking that quote way out of context.

Jesus was talking about the word of God. Which is sharper than any two edged sword. When Jesus said that he was the sword he was speaking of the what the word of God would bring to his disciples which in this case it is the sword of division that God's word brings. It is the division of truth from error, and the reaction of the darkness against the light. The sword that Jesus brings, is the sword that his followers have to suffer, a sword that is applied to them, not a sword that they wield against others.

Jesus also said to love your enemies.

Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord. On the contrary: "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head." Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good (Romans 12:17-21).

A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another (John 13:34).

But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you (Luke 6:27-28).

Where Beck is coming from is he knows the left wants violence in the streets. They want people to take up arms and go postal. That is how the left will get the "Top Down" part of their plan in action. It is what they want which is anarchy and that way when the majority wants the government to clamp down on the violence, the Top Down Part, the left will have it's apparatus in place to do away with the right. That is why Beck is going out of his way to tell us not riot violently but take to the streets with peaceful demonstrations and address our grievances through the framework that our founding fathers set up.

Pima County Sheriff Dupnik is just one more example of a person who is supposed to be impartial, but is seduced by partisan/ideological biases. Dupnik has yet to take responsibility for his part in the killings. Dupnik needs to be reminded that he was elected to be a lawman.

(1) Why was Loughner never charged after his first or second drug arrests?

(2) News reports say at least five calls about Loughner were made to Pima County L/E BEFORE the shootings;

(3) Was there any pressure not to prosecute?

(4) What personal/political relationship does Pima County Sheriff Dupnik have with the suspect’s mother? Loughner’s mother works for the Pima County Board of Supervisors.
