Bump
“He’s never been in my cab”
Well, someone sure was with Wheeler’s cell phone. Looks like the taxi driver will need some water boarding.
The murder of John Wheeler is significant, this crime must be solved!
Too many politically connected murders have gone unsolved over the past 10 years.
So please, those of you who are not paying attention, stop saying he had a stroke and climbed into a Dumpster to get warm. It just doesn't fit.
Here's a round-up of several recent postings on the Wheeler case:

Curiouser and curiouser..
Wheeler didn’t dial the taxi guy - the killer did.
Lots of misdirection in this case—intentional misdirection.
Thanks for the ping.
A clue right there!
please add me to your Wheeler ping list, thank you very much
He said he had been robbed. Maybe he struggled with the robber, got slugged in the head, and suffered a concussion, and/or cerebral hemorrhage, hence the disorientation. He ended up crawling into the dumpster for shelter, and died there.
...he was 100% right about the NCAA too.
Have they proven that it was actually murder or was it death by non violent causes such as suffocation or such?
I have seen or heard nothing that said he was shot, knifed or struck in the head or anything.
He was a true patriot and a brilliant guy.
Our discussion was about North Korea and his son.
He was concerned about his son possibly getting laid
off and not getting paid.
Jacks home in New Castle is about 10 miles from the train station in Wilmington and about 12 miles from Newark.
If I remember correctly Jack only had one shoe after the robbery. He can be seen in the parking lot video
holding the other broken one in his hand.
As far as smoke bombs go it was close to New Years
and they were being sold down the street at the market
by the box full along with other assorted fireworks.
The house across the street from Jack was under construction,
was only a plywood shell and was located right on the edge
of the main parking lot for a park and any kid could have
tossed one of these fireworks through the openings of
the house.
Jack was a Vietnam Vet, Served his country all his life
just like his father and was above all a patriot and
a brother to his fellow servicemen.
He was kind, he was gentile, he was modest to a fault
and did not deserve to die like this.
I have been sick over this and tormented by the negative
garbage in the papers and the lack of their concern
over who did this to Jack.
IS this the fate of our heroes?
I morn your passing Jack.
As you last told me ¨you are a good man¨, no Jack, you
were a 1000nd times better.
So, where and how did the phone turn up? Who found it? Where did they find it? How did they know it was his? I rather doubt a phone found on the street would have been turned in and 99.99999999% wouldn’t put two and two together that it was his phone. Most likely it was “found” at his home or office which should aid investigators to when and how he was taken.
I suspect he was taken either as a scare tactic or a kidnapping. I suspect he was given drugs or was tortured which caused the confused mental state observed by the witnesses. The bad guy/s finally found him again and murdered him to cover the initial crime. All this talk about the neighbor may be LE’s way of diverting attention away from the real suspects hoping they will slip up.
Wouldn’t the drugging of Wheeler have been one way to obtain sensitive information from him? This man would not have made this many mistakes if he had truly meant to do something untoward.
