By Al Kamen The pro football playoffs begin this weekend, but Fox Sports is already making sure there'll be solid television ratings no matter what teams makes it to the Super Bowl on Feb. 6.
That's because conservative Fox News talk show host Bill O'Reilly will be interviewing President Obama during the pre-game show, the White House confirmed yesterday.
When it broadcast the games in Obama's first two years in office, NBC had hosts Matt Lauer (2009) and Katie Couric (2010) do the pre-game chats.
O'Reilly , who interviewed Obama during the 2009 presidential campaign believes he gave Obama the toughest interview of anyone during that election. Unclear whether he'll be that tough this time around.

Thanks for that bit of nostalgia from the good ole days!
I'll watch Puppy Bowl VII on Animal Planet that day to get even more authentic tail sniffing action.

Why do you disagree with this?
In the wake of the healthcare reform bills passage, OReilly was asked whether President Obama is moving the country in a socialist direction.
Socialist is a loaded word and I dont like to use it, because its too simplistic, he tells Newsmax.TV.
If people really want to understand President Obama, and they should, youve got to put yourself in his position. Who is Barack Obama? Number one, Barack Obama is a very sincere individual. He believes in what hes doing. Hes not a phony like many politicians are Number two, he is a far-left guy. He believes that the government is there to impose thats a very important word social justice. Not to persuade, to impose, to make laws that say were going to take money from the wealthy and give it to those who dont have a lot of money.
So he has taken a Western European model and he says, I like that. The nanny state. Cradle-to-grave entitlements. Everybody gets something so nobody is destitute. Im Barack Obama and I like that, and Im going to bring that here to the United States, which traditionally has not had it.
So therefore you have the progressives, which he is, up against the traditionalists who say we dont want that. That saps our strength. We want to compete. And when you compete, some people win and some people lose.
Now were not going to throw granny under the bus or let babies die, but we dont want to alter the basic competition level in capitalism, in politics. We dont want to be Sweden. Sweden has 9 million people, we have 320 million. Its going to be pretty hard to provide for 320 million people. In fact, its impossible.
that was a good one dfw!
It’ll be Obama’s big announcement on who he’s picking to win the Super Bowl...
It will be football with O’Reilly tossing soft balls.
Pucker up Bill and let the butt kissing begin. Hope the weather is warm so his lips dont stick to Obama’s butt.
Kinda insulting to Ted Baxter don’t you think?
One Word: SOFTBALL
Count me in with those who will turn him off. Have you seen his programs this week? He was shoveling do-do for the Obama administration as fast as he could, criticizing the Republicans for beginning to do what they were elected to do..It was nauseating, so I stopped watching him. My husband has always refused to watch B.O., and has declared him to be a liberal all the time..Feathering his own nest, first and foremost. I didn’t believe it was true it but now I do.
Thanks for the heads up. I’ll set my Tivo to pick up the game at kickoff. During BOR’s date with BHO, I’ll be sure to record 2 other more worthwhile programs. Puppy Bowl sound good. Maybe an infomercial for the other recording.
I believe that honor would go to Joe the Plumber.
Make it part of the Beck/O'Reilly Bold/Fresh Tour and it might be worth watching.
Scared of Brett Baer!
I am heading in that direction as well, and the guests seem to more and more talking over him to complete their comments. Which is fine with me.
Softballs during a love fest. No thanks.

Bill O'Reilly is afraid of accurately labeling Barack 0bama as a marxist because Bill 0'Reilly will be called a racist. So he panders and equivocates on an extremely important topic.
Period.
Stay out of sports BO!
Finally! He’s been working for this since Obama became President! O’Reilly is such a suck up!
