Apple is telling us that the apps' content is considered "likely to expose a group to harm" and "to be objectionable and potentially harmful to others." Inasmuch as the Manhattan Declaration simply reaffirms the moral teachings of our Christian faith on the sanctity of human life, marriage and sexual morality, and religious freedom and the rights of conscience, Apple's statement amounts to the charge that our faith is "potentially harmful to others."

That’s kind of what I thought you meant. Thanks for the clarification.

App for iPhone, iPad.
All quite harmless if you are a leftist. There is religious freedom in China too. Unless you attempt to alter political reality with your moral convictions. Then you become the enemy of the state. Or here, you become “harmful to others.” The Manhattan Declaration is not for the weak-kneed. Have you read it? It draws a line in the sand and declares to the Relativist Beast “You shall not pass.”
Versus Liturgy? Give me a break.
Your alleged Christianity does not give you a reason to be published. It sounds like you may be a little too aggressive for anybody with sound minds. How many Chinese Christians have you met? I have met thousands.
There are Bible Apps, Talmudic Apps, and even Buddhist ones on the App store or online. You can get the i-Ching as an App, or the Art of War. Apple is concerned with many things, and aggressive attitudes of any type are discouraged. Apple is no more leftist than MicroCrap or Dell.
What a whiner, or is it wiener? Political reality and moral convictions? Try motes and beams!!!
Posted from my MacBook. My iPhone is re-charging... and my iPad is loaded and ready!
Phillipians 4: Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirableif anything is excellent or praiseworthythink about such things. 9Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in meput it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you... -NIV
The statement "Apple thinks Christian morality is harmful" is false. Apple has lot's of Christian apps. If Apple thought Christian morality was harmful, there would be no Christian apps in the App Store.
You can't make a general statement from one app that was rejected. That is a logical fallacy--a hasty generalization.
And what are their "ethical and moral considerations," as you call them? What harm are they supposedly preventing? Is a "moral system" obsessed with a delusional fear of traditional, rational sexual mores really logical?
For one thing, Apple does not allow pornographic apps in their store. In addition they do not allow apps that they believe would incite violence against people. You can disagree with their judgment of this one app. Do you disagree with their moral and ethical standards that pornography should not be allowed? Do you disagree with their moral and ethical standards that apps that incite violence against people should not be allowed?<.p>
Let me be clear. I am not asking if you think they made a error in classifying this one app as violating their moral and ethical standards. I am asking if you disagree with their moral and ethical standards that pornography should not be allowed, and apps that advocate violence against groups of people should not be allowed.
As for "regime," you misunderstand me. I never said Apple was a regime. I am referring to the broader leftist movement currently attempting to smother American freedom.
Apple is not a political movement. It's a computer company. So it makes no sense to confuse a computer company with a leftist movement.
Apple isn't the regime; it's just one of the cronies. Cronyism is not so much friendship as a kind of calculated collusion aimed at coercing the peasants to mind their place and do what they're told.
That most definitely is not what cronyism is about. Cronyism is showing favoritism to old friends without regard to their qualifications. Apples most definitely does not practice cronyism. They hire people based on their qualifications to do the job well. That is why Apple is doing so well at selling computer and mobile devices.
Not the sort of thing I would have thought a person with your moniker would approve of. Who knew?
You are attributing qualities to me that I have never espoused. That is also a logical fallacy--the straw man fallacy. You are inaccurate.
If you want on or off the Mac Ping List, Freepmail me.
Not true... it was based on the Apple that supposedly conked Newton on the head and caused him to discover the Laws of Gravity... even the first Apple Logo memorializes that event:
Much ado about nothing, IMO. When Apple starts denying apps because they are based on Christianity specifically, let me know. Till then, pray for them that the Light of Christ’s Truth will shine into their hearts.
Not all religious are forbidden (and there are many, many more on there):

Also not true. Apple Corps, the Beatles Record company trademarked RECORD sales and Music Publishing... not anything to do with computer manufacturing or sales... Trademarks are industry specific. For example, McDonalds Restaurants cannot sue McDonalds Department stores for selling clothing... nor can they sue Apple for selling a computer called a Big Mac.
Apple Corps SUED Apple Computer Inc., because the Apple Computer was capable of reproducing music... They LOST, with the court ruling there was no chance that consumers would confuse Apple Computers and Apple Corps records and sheet music. After the suit, Apple Computer and Apple Corps did enter into a multiyear agreement to avoid each other's businesses... and then Apple Computer Inc., renegotiated the agreement when they entered digital music sales paying Apple Corps an undisclosed amount of money for the privilege... by which time Apple Corp was pretty much moribund, having sold their music library to others.
As of last month or so, the Beatles library is now available on iTunes.
You know, lots of people claim this but when they attempt to prove it, they find that Apple makes very few political contributions... and when they go looking to find the political contributions of key Apple people, they find the dollar figures are far outweighed by the dollar contributions to Liberal causes by those at Microsoft. In fact, the LAST donation made by Steve Jobs was in 2004. Apple's Political Action committee did make a $100.000 contribution in 2008 to people opposed to California's anti-Gay Marriage initiative... but Apple as a corporation does not make direct political donations.
Unfortunately not... There are seven pages of Islamic apps... but most of them are Suras... copies of chapters of the Koran... or "sayings" apps, apps that quote saying from the Koran applicable to events in everyday life... so that someone can appear erudite and well read in the Koran when they really are not.
There are literally hundreds of Christian Apps too...

I figured as much from the wazoo aperture’s reply to me above. Just another one for me to put on my ingore-anus list.
Parts of this thread have reminded me of children on the playground making fun of others behind their back.
I have no dog in this fight, which seems more than a little silly to me.
What part of “render unto Cesaer” don’t you guys get? I am a Christian, and I do not look to Apple to support or confirm my views. They make a good product.
I do not expect them to support my religious beliefs, and really don’t care what their corporate religious beliefs might be.
Some of you guys are, forgive me for saying this, baying up the wrong
tree. Let’s keep our personal religious beliefs separate from successful USA corporations.
We can safely assume that Apple employs people of all religious (and non-religious) persuasions. Who cares, as long as their products meet our
own computing uses/needs.
Don’t we have better things to get all wadded up about than some app that might just violate their terms of service in some way we might just
agree with, if we knew the details?
Personally, I have no problem with the Manhattan project, and can find it on my own on the web. Apple’s rejection means nothing to me, because I don’t have a “bash-Apple agenda”!
But, if doing so makes you day, go ahead. Just know that you look a bit silly to some of us, who have more to worry about in our lives than which app gets approved by Apple, and which gets rejected.
Some of you must be really fortunate not to have to worry about anything
more important. I just wish we here were so fortunate.
This is a horrendous affront to the Christian employees of Apple. Who is Apple to say that their views are wrong?
