Cheney Back in Public, Thinner, With Heart Pump
*snip*
The LVAD is implanted next to the heart to help its main pumping chamber, the left ventricle, pump blood through the body. Such devices are used mainly for short periods, to buy potential transplant candidates time as they await a donor organ.
Cardiologists said that in Cheney's case, the pump is likely a "bridge" that will keep him alive until he can receive a heart transplant. Many cardiac experts said at the time of his surgery that Cheney may be only one step away from a transplant but could find himself on a wait list for "months or years."

Cheney supported 0bamacare????
Can think of a few people I would nominate to be donors.
I read your statement, and checked online. My brief search showed only a satire site claiming that Cheney supports Obama care (and that he volunteered to be on a Death Panel and would supply waterboarding equipment.)
Absent a credible source to the contrary, methinks it's just a humorous claim on a joke site.

“His support for Obamacare”
Can you give me a link on this?
It was on Free Republic today: <a href=”http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2651685/posts" (Cheney is supporting the author of Obamacare for head of the RNC)
Pelosi has not used hers in years. It should be good to go!
I think he's put on a bit more weight since then. God bless you and thank you for all our peaceful nights, Mr. Vice President.
Do you say the same thing about critics of Obama. If anything, I'm being nicer than that to Vice President Cheney. But if you think I'm not going to call out ANYONE who is trying to destroy our Constitution, you are sadly mistake. Once bitten, twice shy.
Grab Chris Matthew’s... Oh wait, he doesn’t have a heart.
150 thousand people die every day. Conservatively, let’s estimate 5 percent of them have decent adult-sized healthy hearts when they go. Out of those 7,500 people, some of them must have families who are in need of the kind of money Cheney could pay for a new heart. Cheney is very rich. Most of the world is very poor. Why not let an exchange happen that could benefit all parties? I would only want it legal when murder isn’t involved, of course.
I don’t see why the free market couldn’t apply in these cases. Yes, money for body parts may seem repulsive, but what is truly repulsive is the current situation where thousands of people die every year waiting for organs.
That said, I hope for the best for Cheney, a hero who kept America safe.
How did you leap from that to "Cheney supports Obamacare"?
The article you linked to doesn't even remotely support your claim. Is there a different link you meant to post?
All that link says ‘requested document not on this server’
Obama: “Maybe you’re better off not having the surgery but taking the painkiller.”
(to Jane Sturm re: her mother’s pacemaker)
I pray that our Heavenly Father blesses him and his family with a new heart and restored health.
I have advocated for paying people for their organs for years. It is a great idea, and I see nothing wrong with it at all. There need be no special laws, as it is already wrong to murder. We own ourselves don’t we? Doctors charge a very large amount for the operation, hospitals make a mint, but the “donor” gets a quiet thanks......SUCKER. I made sure to uncheck my donor box on my license. I am not giving anything away.
*****ObamaCare Signing:
Ex-con at the Scene of the Crime
by Joel B. Pollak
###
Convicted felon Robert Creamer,
who wrote the blueprint for the Democrats health care reform campaign,
attended official health care signing celebrations in Washington, D.C. yesterday.
He was joined by numerous activists and community organizers who have had their sights set on nationalizing health care and have finally achieved it. Creamers spouse, Rep. Jan Schakowsky, was one of the bills most vociferous proponents.
