CAIRO (AP) - A car exploded in front of a Coptic Christian church as worshippers emerged from a New Year's Mass in the Egyptian city of Alexandria early Saturday, killing at least seven people, officials said. After the blast, enraged Christians emerging from the church clashed with police and stormed a nearby mosque, prompting fights and volleys of stone throwing with Muslims, police and witnesses said—a sign of the sectarian anger that has been arising with greater frequency in Egypt.
Nearly 1,000 Christians were attending the Mass at the Saints Church in the Mediterranean port city of Alexandria, said a priest at the church, Father Mena Adel. The service had just ended, and worshippers were leaving the building when the blast went off, about a half-hour after midnight.
"I was inside the church and heard a huge explosion," Adel told The Associated Press. "People's bodies were in flames."
The blast came from a car parked outside the church, but police said they were still investigating whether the car had been rigged with explosives or if a bomb had been placed under it. Witnesses reported seeing the charred chassis of the destroyed car, with the remains of several bodies nearby and dozens wounded.
The Interior Ministry said in a statement that seven people were killed and 24 wounded. Alexandria's governor, Adel Labib, put the death toll as high as 10.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast. Labib immediately blamed al-Qaida, pointing to recent threats by the terror group's branch in Iraq to attack Christians. It was not clear, however, if Labib had firm evidence, and he may have intended more to deny any homegrown Muslim-Christian tensions in Egypt.
"The al-Qaida organization threatened to attack churches inside Egypt. This has nothing to do with sectarianism," he told TV.

I can't dispute your point. Maybe it got a lot worse at that point. But Egyptian religio-ethnic tensions were so bad way back in 1910 that even Theodore Roosevelt got peripherally involved!

Remember when Barry went to Cairo? He visited a mosque and read from the Quran, but interestingly he failed to go to a Coptic church or show any solidarity with the Copts. The Copts are Egypt's persecuted. Wake up.

And I urge our Christian politicians to do what our President will probably not due-—condemn them, and threaten these countries with sanctions if they don’t get a grip on the Islamists.

Forget stones... It is time they threw bullets, hand grenades, and artillery at the Muslims. The ONLY thing Islam has ever understood and respected is UNMITIGATED FORCE, used WITHOUT DISCRETION against its populations. Nuke a few of their cities... Let them know that for each and every Christian they kill, we WILL slaughter 1,000,000 of Muslims... and then FOLLOW THROUGH. When we have obliterated several million of them, perhaps then they will get the message.

Egypt: Muslims Halt Church Construction, Pelt Coptic Christians with Stones
Muslims are oppressing, persecuting, and slaughtering Christians in Egypt. Non-Muslims suffer daily humiliations, as mandated by the Islamic teachings of religious intolerance. It has been very bad for the Christians, and is getting worse.
The latest Islamic supremacist violence left 93 Copts in Kasr El-Aini Hospital, all with injuries ranging from bullet wounds to eye injuries from explosions. There were reports of limb amputations.
Egyptian Christians Clash With State Security Forces Over Church Construction
(AINA) — Clashes broke out between Christian protesters and Egyptian security forces over the construction of St. Mary and St. Michael church in Talbiya, within the Omraniya neighborhood of Giza, resulting in the killing of two Copts, hundreds of injuries and the arrest of more than 200 Copts.
Nearly 5,000 security forces with over 45 vehicles cordoned off the church site at 3:00 am on Wednesday November 24 , while builders were working on the roof. They used tear gas, rubber bullets and live ammunition.

Even after that State Security steps in with some pretext and the new church is closed down.
Bombing Mecca will only strengthen Muslims preying on outrage. The solution will come, eventually, if science and medicine come together in a purely secular condemnation of polygamy. Dozens of angles exist without condemning their “religion”, including overpopulation, lack of father figure, consanguineous marriages, birth defects, entrenched poverty from families too large, extra males unable to marry, an inability to respect wives and love children and IMHO; desertification of their lands. I’m not holding my breath.
Do that, and get them to start drinking alcohol so they can socialize instead of nursing grudges.

True religions oppose evil. Islam embodies evil.
Obama, his comrades in the government, academia, the media, and the PC crowd in general all tell us that Islam is a religion deserving respect, and protected by the First Amendment. I imagine that they don’t realize that the the Ayatollah Khomeini once said, “Islam is politics or it is nothing”. They also probably don’t realize that sharia law (so-called “Holy Law”) “deals extensively with the acquisition and exercise of power, the nature of legitimacy and authority, the duties of ruler and subject, in a word, with what we in the West would call constitutional law and political philosophy.” (1) Islam does not recognize secular law, such as our own Constitution. The ideal for Islam is to combine or merge the state with “religion” in such a manner that religious freedom and individual rights are denied. It is fundamentally at odds with our Constitution.
Islam is a totalitarian political ideology which teaches hatred, discrimination and barbaric violence against Jews, Gentiles, Infidels, Buddhists, Americans —— even against other Muslims. There are similarities between Islam and Nazism. Allowing mosques or sharia courts in the United States is similar to tolerating outposts of Hitler’s National Socialism during World War II. We often hear about “radical” Islam versus “moderate” Muslims. This is a bogus dichotomy. There is no such thing as “sort of” Muslim. People either adhere to Islam or they don’t. We are also told sometimes that Muslims are a race. This is totally wrong; there are Muslims of various races in most countries.
Islam belongs in the 7th century. If Muslims would wake up, reject Islam, and join the 21st century, the world would be far more peaceful.
Congress should identify Islam as a political ideology which is subversive to our Constitution. Mosques and sharia law should be outlawed. Muslim immigration to the U.S. should be halted. Muslims should not serve in our civilian government or the military. Muslims should be banned from U.S. airports and U.S. airplanes.

It is abundantly clear that profiling should be used, but instead the government (TSA, etc.) has spent the last 9 years pretending that 300 million Americans and millions of other travelers are equally suspect. The stupidity of the government is beyond contempt.
The problem is not simply extremists. The problem is Islam and mainstream Muslims, whose goal is to shred our Constitution and destroy freedom. Most Americans, for example, probably have no idea that Saudi Arabia’s constitution is the Koran, its law is Shari’a, and the practice of all religions (other than the fake Islamic religion) is forbidden in that country. Nothing could be more hostile to our Constitution and our free republic.

Disgusting, isn't it? Apparently, those bombs have minds of their own. The media is the enemy. I'm glad Sarah's treating them as such. I wish someone else would join her.
Mohammedanism's Achilles heel is its treatment of women. We have to offer Mohammedan women some practical means of escape.
