I have an open carry from TN but have been considering moving back to TX. I understand it is only a conceal carry there, correct?
Yes it is conceal carry in Texas. If you have a carry permit for another state, Texas is reciprocal or unilateral with every state that has any kind of carry permit. (This means that even if the other state has not agreed to honor Texas CHL, Texas recognizes and honors that state's permit.)
