“Never let a good crisis go to waste”
In other words;
“How much overtime can we milk out of this mess ?”

The chairman of the Municipal Labor Committee, Local 831, which represents men and women of the New York City Sanitation Department says there is no truth behind a rumor that his members worked slower during the blizzard of 2010. Translation: It's impossible for our members to work any slower than they already do.

Yeah, my very first observation of the always incompetent, crooked, stoned, lazy, workers comp fakers at the New York City Sanitation Department.

If “[c]haracter is defined by how we treat those who society says have no value” how is it that you can make such broad sweeping derogatory statements? Do you live in NYC? Have you seen the hurdles of cars left helter skelter on the streets for us to plow around? If we damage one, we are cursed. If we cannot plow the street because the cars will not allow the plow blade on the front of the garbage truck to pass, then we are also cursed. This non-sense about the Dept. of Sanitation is cooked up by lazy journalists finding disgruntled NYC residents — how hard was that job? After the jingoist journalists are done, you dutifully pick up the ball and run wild with it. Good job.
