We already told you how the weather could affect tonights game, with Philadelphia expecting about a foot of snow with winds gusting as much as 45 mph. But the NFL, most likely wanting to protect the tens of thousands of fans who have tickets for tonights game, has decided to move it back 48 hours.

Wimps
I never remember weather causing games to be postponed in the NFL in the old days.
I know this is a serious storm, but, they always played through whatever Mother Nature had in store for them.
Speaking of NFL, what the heck was with the NFL channel going off the air last night right before the Cowboys’ game? Our tv menu said it was off the air but they were showing some documentary. Jerry Jones can take a flying leap.
As a Viking fan, I can’t tell you how much I want this season to be over.
They’re all girlie men now days.
I wonder if Vegas changed the over/under line because of the weather. /sarc.
>>>As a Viking fan, I cant tell you how much I want this season to be over.
It’s been over for a couple weeks now. They’re just playing it out.
Girly men can’t handle it no more. Why back in my day, we would.....
Protecting defenseless quarterbacks, protecting defenseless receivers, and now protecting defenseless fans. Hey, NFL, let the players play football (and the fans enjoy football) the way it used to be played—by men, in the conditions that God chooses.
That means your local provider chose not to pay for the game broadcast.
NFL channel charges cable providers EXTRA to carry the games they provide, and if the cable operator opts out they are provided alnernate programming while the game is in progress.
If you aren't allowed on the streets after 2...then you can't go to the game at 8:30...and that means even if most people DO go to the game...the people who keep the field in somewhat playable conditions might not be there...and those who take the ticket...and those who sell the beer...etc.
The NFL moved this game for those reasons...not because they can't play in snow. They played a similar game in Chicago last week. The only difference is the mayor didn't make it illegal to be on the roads.
The worst forecast is for 10 inches of snow.
In other words, your typical September Sunday in Buffalo.
Complete and total wimps.
They did! But, now we have the multi-million dollar, sissified, premmadonas playing, and, the "f**k the fan, pay the high ticket price" attitude from the league! Blackouts come to mind...
The Eagles players were Tweeting that they couldn’t wait to get out there and play in the snow. They were saying a game like this is a dream come true.
You’re absolutely right... Michael Nutter did this.
As a Bronco fan, I second that. I'm just dreading Bowlen's choice for a new head coach. I think he's likely to pick another loser.
And they’re going to play a Super Bowl in February in New York next year???
Jones charges too much because this doesn’t happen with other teams. It’s not like they’re doing very well this year. And add Romo to that flying leap.
Cowboys had to play in the “Ice Bowl” once. Those were tougher times I guess.
I believe it has to do with the fans coming to the game and not the players.
