I never remember weather causing games to be postponed in the NFL in the old days.
I know this is a serious storm, but, they always played through whatever Mother Nature had in store for them.
They’re all girlie men now days.
If you aren't allowed on the streets after 2...then you can't go to the game at 8:30...and that means even if most people DO go to the game...the people who keep the field in somewhat playable conditions might not be there...and those who take the ticket...and those who sell the beer...etc.
The NFL moved this game for those reasons...not because they can't play in snow. They played a similar game in Chicago last week. The only difference is the mayor didn't make it illegal to be on the roads.
They did! But, now we have the multi-million dollar, sissified, premmadonas playing, and, the "f**k the fan, pay the high ticket price" attitude from the league! Blackouts come to mind...
It’s only happened a handful of times. Usually due to lightning, the Dolphins had a couple of unlucky starts to the season where hurricanes caused games to be moved or time shifted. Basically the rule is if the weather is dangerous avoid it, if it’s just annoying play through. A foot of snow with 45 mile an hour gusts is dangerous weather.
Impossible, don’t you know we now have global warming? (/sarcasm)
