Tea Party Express is going to have a Presidential Debate branded The CNN-Tea Party Express Debate -- Labor Day week 2011 in Tampa, FL, the site of the Republican Convention in 2012.
And it will be broadcast live over cable station CNN.
It most likely will be on a College campus.
TPX will distribute the tickets to Tea Party people.
There will be a moderator from CNN who will recoginze the questioneers so they can ask their questions of the Candidates.
I had a conversation with a stratigist from Tea Party Express the other day, and revieved a lot of information.
"This is an important recognition that the Tea Party movement is real, and it opens up a whole new audience of people that will be receptive to our message. We have to grow the movement beyond Fox to make it a true majority of Americans behind the tea party banner".More information will be supplied on this thread.
That phrase I used was pretty much metaphorical/rhetorical and a comparison between a Politico/Alphabet network debate vs a Tea Party controlled debate.

The first Presidential Primary 2012 debate is in May in California, that’s only 5 months.
Mitt started running for 2012 the day he dropped of the ‘08 race imo.

All kidding aside, Florida again will be in the spotlight for pre-election coverage of the next Presidential race.
Now is the time for Florida FReepers and local Tea Party groups to gather their forces and get ready to answer the call.

Will be interested in hearing more details about the September debate. We Florida patriots will remain active and I will do everything I can to get the word out to all my mailing lists.
Will be interesting to see who throws their hat into the race for President once the new year begins. Any candidates who have demonstrated any hints of rinoism will not get my support! I have a pretty good memory for my age, and I will be ready to point out (with proof) if certain candidates begin 2011 acting like real conservatives but have not been in the past.
I hope to hear soon that Senator Jim DeMint is running for President. He will have my full support in a heartbeat! Then once he wins the nomination, my “dream ticket” would come to pass if he chooses Allen West as his running mate!

It’s on CNN because CNN is on life support. For once they made a strategic decision...like Paul said when some preached the gospel for ulterior motives, at least it’s being preached.
At least it’s on TV...it will likely be their biggest viewership all year.

Even so, isn’t there a 10-second or so delay? That would give them time to somehow silence key words to confuse the listener, and the majority of viewers will be none the wiser.
Sure, CNN may be fair for a while, but when the rubber meets the road they’ll turn on the TP in a heartbeat.
Because this way CNN can attempt to drive a wedge between the tea party and republican party candidates, with their inane bias questions, in an attempt to get a tea party candidate to run third party, therefore insuring the Obama reelection. It's their attempt at divide and conquer.
Tea party people are not stupid and can watch a republican debate and listen to the candidates and figure out for themselves who to vote for. They don't need CNN to twist and distort for the rest of the American non- political public what the tea party stands for. Tea Party people— run away from CNN!!!
