The freezing conditions that have blasted Britain are being blamed on a series of weather patterns that are bringing Arctic temperatures to much of western Europe, California and even Australia.

***Right at the end of March 68, it had rained most of the day, started to snow about 2PM,****

I remember that! March 14, 1968! The local weather man, Don Woods channel 8, out of Tulsa said it would be a “dry front” and we would get no snow out of it!

We got TWO FEET of snow, and where the wind blew there were deep drifts! Electricity out for several days, no one had 4-W Drive vehicles then so every one was snowed in!

I heard about this! I had been transfered to Northern california for two weeks not long before so missed it.
My wife recalls being without electricity for a week.

Since then we have been prepared for any weather like that here!

Believe me, I remember precise details from amazing weather events that far back. He’s not alone.

Oh, I remember details from earthquakes and major weather events, too, just not the precise week, time of day, etc.

One would think, listening to these fools, that weather had always been uniform over the centuries prior to the industrial and technological eras of our nation.

The truth, as almost every layman knows, is that weather fluctuates and at times does so wildly. It displays geographically and cyclically influenced norms and abnormalities. These are mostly influenced by the star at the center of our solar system.

Now “because we are so enlightened”, we flatter ourselves that WE are the cause of everything. No WE ARE NOT.

One of the most humorous discoveries over the last few decades was the El Nino El Nina phenomenon. All of a sudden, these two names were synonymous with weather. You couldn’t listen to a weather broadcast without hearing how they figured in.

This “NEW” phenomenon wasn’t new. It had been around for thousands of years, but that didn’t matter. Now it was causing all the weather patterns for the planet, and of course it never had prior to it’s discovery. It was one more thing to worry about. It was considered partial proof that man had screwed up.

Our weather forecasters can’t tell us what the weather will be in three days with accuracy, but they do know for sure that man is influencing it. And so it is, that evil mam must be punished for the utilization of modern conveniences.

Hogwash...

We don’t need carbon credits, unless those credits would be used to pay for the psychological help for the people that are demanding them. Perhaps they could cure Liberalism while they were working on the cure.

I don’t think we have gone through the max for this cycle, but we may not have a big max for a few cycles. By the way, 20 m is alive most of the time on digital with PSK 31. Not the fastest rag chew, but contacts can be made.

I might think about spending some on the air this weekend. Haven’t been that active lately.

What we have, ladies and gentlemen, is heart-thumping climate change that is going to take a frightening toll on humanity.

Humanity has dealt with climate change before. With our current technological level, ability to adapt, and some of the best minds on the planet, we should be able to do just fine. But with our current levels of government stupidity and regulation, we'll likely starve to death shivering in the dark.

You notice how they never venture into wondering WHY the jet stream deviated.

Some people think it was colder in the 50’s due to sulfur in the pollution. We scrubbed out the sulfur, and it got too warm for them, and now the Chinese are pouring sulfur into the air.

My husband is in your corner. Yes, it’s colder because it’s winter. And then it will get hotter when summer comes.

In 1973 I went to Atlanta for an interview, and they had just had an ice storm. It was beautiful, even though I imagine it was also pretty destructive.
