"We're saying, those standards ought to include those that -- in an explicit r even implicit way practice racism or sexism or homophobia on the airwaves. Can you image the arrogance of saying 'federally regulating airwaves should not be subjected to federal public hearings?," Al Sharpton told MSNBC.

Sharpton said Limbaugh's free speech on the "federally regulated" airwaves is not a "right" or "an entitlement."

"You are a real fighter for the American people for what is socially correct," MSNBC host Ed Schultz said in praise of Al Sharpton.

Last week, it was revealed that Al Sharpton once said "punk faggot" on the Morton Downey Jr. show.

“There are just too many people out here in the ‘real world’ who agree with this attitude, and it’s scary”
Yes, television and the internet have legitimized hucksters like Sharpton for a long time. He is a clever manipulator and like all blacks of the past who desire to be taken seriously, uses the term “Reverend” in his name, although to what seminary he belonged or what church he pastored remains unclear. Safe it is to say, that it has been a long time since the duty of a Reverend, to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, has been his mission in life. Sharpton presents himself as the representative of the entire black population and most people accept him as that, including white people. They may secretly despise him, but never seek to denounce him for fear of looking racist. Although he is regularly taken to task in conservative circles including Fox News, it seems that it may be too late to make that opinion, widespread. Sharpton has participated in hoaxes that ought to have returned a prison sentence for him, but he is allowed to continue as if his “mistakes” were perpetrated out of naivete or just plain stupidity. Now, that , in my opinion, is the real racist undertone.

Naturally, the idiot Schultz would encourage this mindless, leftist drivel.

BUSTED: Caught on an FBI Surveillance Tape Discussing a Cocaine Deal

The television show HBO’s Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel showed a 1983 FBI videotape in which Al Sharpton is seen talking about laundering drug money with former mobster Michael Franzese, a Mafioso-turned-undercover-FBI informant posing as a cocaine dealer. Now you might think something like this might be bad news for a presidential candidate, but to hear Sharpton talk about it, there’s nothing unseemly about it.

Now, to be fair, no indictments were issued and the sting operation was never completed. But those are pretty thin excuses for a president of the United States. (At least he didn’t blame a DUII on his political enemies.)

Sharpton got into this mess through his friendship with boxing promoter Don King, a longtime friend of his. Franzese, a former Colombo family captain, alleges that a South American drug dealer looking to launder money through boxing promotions approached him. According to Franzese,Sharpton was going to arrange a meeting between the dealer and King.

But the drug dealer was really an undercover FBI agent in a probe of boxing corruption. Sharpton claimed the tape was a “total attempt to set up and criminalize people,” that it was leaked to scuttle his possible presidential bid, and that HBO distorted the evidence by showing only selected portions of the tape. He also clamed that a second tape existed that exonerated him.

Sharpton sued HBO for defamation and asked for $1 billion in damages. (As if he had a billion dollar reputation before the tape aired.) HBO Sports spokesman Ray Stallone described the suit as “so silly that it is unworthy of comment.” Nothing has come of it since it was filed.

Sharpton On Limbaugh: Arrogant To Let "People Say What They Want"

Lib. Hero Sharpton Screams ‘Punk Faggot’ on TV (ca. 1988/89)

"Before Al Sharpton was trying to dictate what Rush Limbaugh can say on the public airwaves, he was using politically incorrect language on television. We can find no instance of liberals at the time demanding that Sharpton be taken off the air for his homophobic rantings."

Al Sharpton ordered to pay $65,000 in damages in Tawana Brawley hoax. (1998)

Sharpton was found guilty of making false accusations and statements in the Tawana Brawley case.

"Al Sharpton was ordered to pay Steven Pagones $65,000 in damages. Sharpton did not pay. With interest and penalties, the sum rose to $87,000. By January, 2001, Pagones had only collected $15,000 by having Sharpton’s salary garnisheed. Pagones claimed that Sharpton was concealing his wealth. Then a group of wealthy black men stepped in to pay off Sharpton’s penalty."

FEC slaps Rev. Al with $285k fine (2009)

Sharpton, "violated campaign finance laws widely, and has agreed to pay a $285,000 fine, the FEC said"

I would so love to see Rush at a hearing, by himself, with no lawyer, castigating the FCC and big government. His ratings would double overnight. Talk about a teachable moment.

Here we have a liberal scumbag attempting to make the case that the government should regulate speech because it regulates the airwaves. Mind you, this is the same government that spends our tax dollars to have elephant dung on a painting of Mary and a cross placed in urine.

The left loves to describe conservatism as being Hitler-esk. There is nothing more Nazi like than these calls for the destruction of our freedom.

Sewer water seeks it’s own level. He’s given credibility by a corrupt, left-wing bunch that are as bad as he is. My hope is that he will be rendered irrevelent in the not too distant future......Lord knows it should have happened long ago. Oh! And that goes for Revvvv Jack(ass)son too!

“Only in America can a racist race baiter who ruined the life of an innocent police officer by perpetrating a hoax, be given crediblity by the media.”

He’s on O’Reilly and hannity.
That’s one of the reasons I dont watch them
Juan Williams, Alan Colmes and Geraldo Rivera are three other reasons

He was “ordained” at the age of 9 or 10. Started preaching at age 4. What a jerk.
From wiki;
“Sharpton was licensed and ordained a Pentecostal minister by Bishop F.D. Washington at the age of nine or ten. After Bishop Washington’s death in the late 1980s, Sharpton became a Baptist. He was re-baptized as a member of the Bethany Baptist Church in 1994 by the Reverend William Jones and became a Baptist minister.”

And Sharpton was “ordained” to be a shake-down artist the moment he hatched, crying “gimme, gimme”.

Why are all of these race-baiting shake-down con-men “reverends”? They worship the hand-out above all else.

Odd ... that’s not what you said Al Shakedown during the Civil Rights protests, or during all the Vietnam protests.

Shakedown just shut your pie-hole.

What really makes Freddy's Mart a classic of racist ignorance was that the "white interloper" was a tenant following the orders of the owner of the property, a black church. Seven people died because of Sharpton.
