(NewsCore) - So much for a holly, jolly Christmas.
A newly released study found that Christmas tree displays can harm the emotional well-being of those who do not celebrate the holiday.
Researchers at Canadas Simon Fraser University (SFU) studied the psychological effect that Christmas displays have by asking test participants to work in a room that either contained a Christmas tree or did not.
The results showed that for those participants who did not celebrate the holiday, being in a room with a Christmas tree made them feel less sure of themselves.
The result was the opposite for those who did celebrate Christmas, as they reported feeling more positive after spending time in the presence of a decorated tree.
Participants with non-Christian religious backgrounds Sikhs and Buddhists, for instance reported less self-assurance and feeling less included at the university when they were in the presence of a Christmas tree.

Why would you continue to pretend you know know what you are talking about? At my synagogue, and most I visit, we recite Psalm 30 EVERY Shabbat as an introduction to P'sukei D'zimrah. Go look it up in any standard Ashkenaz sidur. The additions for Chanukkah are Al Hanissim (for the miracles) and Hallel. There is no separate service for Chanukkah. It may be all you know, but really it's a small thing on the Jewish calendar.

“Theres always Festivus. (Wheres the aluminum pole?)”
The professional leftists should love Festivus. One of the traditions of Festivus is the airing of grievances.
When I see someone in Buddhist robes I feel... well, fine. Guess because I’m not a thin-skinned creepy little victim wannabee...
Psalm 30 is repeated at the end of Shacharis (or Mussaf on Shabbos or Rosh Chodesh) at Chanukkah.
Then get them some psychological counseling.
And I could care less. :0)
Buddhists who feel that way don't spend much time on their cushions.
Coincidentally (or not) that would be one of the first things a Buddhist teacher would tell a student. lol
I couldn’t care less who is offended. Someone wearing a burkha offends me greatly.
Oh my, testing the egg nog again? snicker
After I posted this my wife told me it was five times.
How long can it be, then, before Christmas trees are banned?
