I'm confused. Doesn't he have to certify readiness before implementation of the new rule and so have the power to delay this? What gives? Last week he said Marines would die from the new policy and this week he says he'll personally lead the effort to "smartly and faithfully" implement it? Disappointing to say the least.

There is a Marine Corps legend that says ,Inside the Gold orb atop the flag staff on the USMC Memorial In DC,is a pistol with one bullet and a pack of matches.
The matches is for the last Marine standing to burn the flag so it does not fall into enemy hands,
the bullet is for him for the same reason.
I recon it might be time to start shimmying up the pole ...
