Sixty-five years ago this month, Gen. George S. Patton Jr., hero of World War II and an outspoken critic of the Soviets, was en route to a Sunday hunting trip, a day before permanently leaving Europe, when he was critically injured in a vehicle accident on a deserted two lane highway near Mannheim, Germany.
A large US army truck that Pattons driver later said was waiting for them, suddenly and without signaling abruptly turned into his limousines path, causing a head-on crash. Even though Patton had an aide with him and the driver of the truck had one or two passengers in the cab, no one but Patton was hurt. He suffered a paralyzing broken neck.
Despite it being early on a no-work day, a horde of military personnel, including a brigadier general, quickly arrived at the scene. And although there were facilities in Mannheim, he was taken to a hospital 20 miles away where, when he arrived, the prognosis was bad. They expected him to die.
But the tough general, vowing to go home and tell block-busting secrets, rallied. And in a little over a week he was fit enough to be readied for a grueling trans-Atlantic flight home. On the eve of that flight, he had a sudden relapse. Blood embolisms choked his breathing. Within 24 hours he was dead.

His death wasn’t an accident, he had outlived his usefulness and became a threat.
And that the Titanic had Isador Straus on board, not long after Levi Strauss invented the blue jean. Clearly a fouled-up attempt to stop the westernization of the world.
And American Motors once made a special edition “Levi Gremlin”. The clues are all there if you know where to look.
“His death wasnt an accident, he had outlived his usefulness and became a threat.”
He knew too much also.
Ike off’d him.
All your Patton are belong to us. Your country big liberal and conservatives in bad conditions.

They were ivory. Only a pimp in a New Orleans whorehouse would have pearl handled revolvers!
Some of what you say makes sense such as the U.S. being tired of war but some of it is more nonsense than some of the conspiracy stuff.
I just glanced at my world map and the distance from much of Europe to Moscow was quite a bit shorter than from Tinian to Tokyo. B-29’s could easily have made the round trip and escorted at that.
With atomic weapons we could have told Stalin to get out of town before sundown and he would have had no other choice but to do it. That is if he did not have spies in our government who would have assured him we would never do it.
It was ... it could be construed that God was calling Patton home in order to make him available for another war. Patton always believed he was reincarnated from an earlier warrior who commanded in war.
Not sure if he hit the partition or not, or even if there was a plexiglass partition in the vehicle. However plexiglass did exist in WWII ... it was used in aircraft all the time.
Thanks for the ping. Patton was a great general, but he wasn’t popular with the military or civilian hierarchy. That much is known. As to whether he was murdered, I will reserve judgment.
Most of the vehicles we gave the Soviets were trucks, which they need badly. We gave them relatively M4 Sherman tanks. The didn't need them. They had the T34, the best tank of the war. It was in production into the 1950's and was still in use as late as the 90's.
Tank for tank, a late war T-34 will eat a Sherman for breakfast.
Wow I loused that post up badly, let’s try it again:

Now really. Can you think of any time period in history, when there were more seasoned, skilled killers hanging about looking for something to do, than the second half of 1945? And when a hit is called for, a fairly extraordinary target too, they can’t do better than this?
“FDR was reelected in 44 and would not stand for reelection, and coronation, until 48. I am not so sure Patton would have been his adversary”
FDR kicked the bucket in the spring of ‘45. Wait that was impossible, I mean he bought the farm ‘45.
I seem to recall seeing faded bloodstains on the top of the back cushion.
His account of his memories from those earlier lives is a fascinating chapter in his autobiography. If one goes along with your idea, then in the next big war, can we expect to see his reincarnated self. In times of grave national crisis, do you expect to see American patriots reincarnated in this time to continue their fight for our country ? This makes interesting speculation if so. I think Ben Franklin has already reincarnated as Rush.
