Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) does not see a political lift for President Obama in the imminent repeal of the Clinton-era policy banning gays from serving openly in the military.
I think the people who are supportive of 'Dont ask, dont tell were probably supportive of the president to begin with, he told reporters in the Capitol.
Most Americans, I think, hope it works out. I certainly do. I think it is going to be problematic and whatever problems it has, [Obama] owns, Graham added.

If it goes poorly, we won’t know about it. Be assured of that much.

What happens if the new Gay troops start getting “Fragged” or blanket parties break out in the barracks?

Is Voinovich on record as supporting DADT? I know he voted for cloture.
Which Dems might vote no that voted for cloture? How about R’s?

Given that the little gay MILITARY dude...that would be dudie??? is the perp in the wikileak expose, let’s tell us some more good points of gays in the military.
To: Red Steel
I’ll bet homograham votes for the bill.

He will own it; and the Left Media will cover - no matter how deleterious. (It will be some 'other' problem that leads to demoralization with et al damning consequences.)
Why would any 'decent' citizen desire the same goals for our Military as does Communist Party USA?
Of course, there is no answer decent enough to print.

Yeah Goober, Obummer will own it, but our national security will be the victim. Saw an expert on FOX today say there could be up to 40% of our front line troops leaving and retiring over this. What type of gaping hole in security will that leave?
Obummer will have to institute the draft again, every leftists wet dream.

Aemilius,
You beat me to it. There will be no sexual assault/harassment stats compiled, let alone released, by the Pentagon. Any reports of actual incidents will be sanitized for any references to homosexuality (just like the cover up of Muslim violence with in the military). But most of all, there will be no reports in the MSM.
Oh, and the lawsuits and homosexual agitation are just starting. Harassment claims, unequal advancement of gays, recognition of homosexual marriages by the military, chasing off of chaplains that won't water down their message, etc, etc,
To: Qbert
Most Americans, I think, hope it works out. I certainly do. I think it is going to be problematic and whatever problems it has, [Obama] owns, Graham added. This is a disaster in the making. Guaranteed.
The late Col Hackworth said "gays in the military always cause problems".

I’m afraid it won’t matter- they overcame the filibuster threat with numbers to spare. It’s all over but the crying now.

Democrats are once again trying their hardest to hurt this country. Homosexuals make up less that 2% of the population; yet 98% of the population has to suffer; again for "special interests".
I hope there will be a clause in contracts that prohibits discrimination lawsuits by homosexuals. Otherwise I for see A LOT of break down in unit cohesion when ambulance chasers are suing cause a homosexual just happened to be on point when enemy fire took him out.
Think about it; NOTHING has changed when it comes to homosexual militancy; it just now has a new breeding ground for "special rights".
