Not Voting - 4 Bunning (R-KY) Gregg (R-NH) Hatch (R-UT) Manchin (D-WV)

An interesting group not voting. Wonder what Hatch is up to since he'd announced he'd vote against it all week. And Bunning wouldn't hesitate to vote against it, must have had some problem. Departing Gregg? And Manchin probably avoiding a controversial issue.

This is welcome news but there remain 10 to 15 million here illegally, still receiving ‘involuntary alms’ from the taxpayer(s).

Victory for freedom and America!

This is not just a vote this is the most important vote.

RINOs as many of you all call them, Republican Scott Brown and Republicans stopped the Dream act!

All you democrat sympathizers who claim to be conservative lets hear your praise of Republicans now.Yeah sure you’ll just bash them for some other liberal media lie.

Vastly outnumbered, Republicans stood like a stone wall against the Marxist/democrat horde! Thank God for Republicans!

I am so happy! I have hope now!

Reid, Pelosi and Zero must be in a closed-door meeting with Soros and plotters explaining their failure.

so, what does this mean?
Can’t they vote again and again or vote to decide not to vote or pull some other unconstitutional crap as they did on the healthcare reform?

Rules don’t matter!

On a cloture vote, not voting is as good as voting no — cloture needs 60 affirmative votes to be invoked.

It has the same affect on the outcome of the cloture vote, but it is not just as good. Every senator should take a stand and vote so their constituents can know what their senator supports or opposes. People don't elect senators to be spectators to senate business.

I thought Bennett voted for cloture, not Hatch.

Hooray
That was such a crap bill
I am tired of being called racist nativist or xenophobic.

I do not have an answer for what to do with the illegal kids who have mostly lived their life here, at our expense.

Would deporting them to a country they have no memory of be right? OTOH why should we reward them ? to do so will strain our resources for legals and our own citizens.
Why should any American or legal immigrant suffer because the parents snuck them in?

Lugar must go. Bet he's retiring. Bennett must go. Murkowski's got 6 years and then I will personally work for her defeat.

Bennett's gone, the folks in Utah sent him packing, the new guy is one of us.

Democrat Senator Mary Landriue gave us government healthcare and now voted to pass the Dream act. And with media help this evil socialist fools people of Louisiana into thinking it is a “conservative” democrat.

That hasn't stopped him from trying to give conservatives a parting "gift":

Bennett: GOP might pass own version of DREAM Act next year
