DADT repealed 63-33
I go from elation that Voinovich voted no on Nightmare to extreme disappointment on DADT.
Can DADT be amended/repealed in the next session before implemented?? Challenged in court?
This is the state of the Republic, Dec. 2010.
markknoller Cloture vote successful on bill to repeal of DADT. Vote is 63-33.

Anyone, please provide GOP voting yes. Dems voting no.
Concur..we’ve been discussing this for a while on various threads..I would love to see a poll of Lugar v. Pence among likely GOP voters..I think Pence would beat him easily..
OK, this was the cloture vote. Of course, the actual vote will probably mirror the cloture vote.
Lugar's Last Stand?
:)
THANK YOU, LORD!
I heard the land act was dead via Lisa MurCOWski.
I agree. Pence needs to forget about any presidential aspirations and do what is right for this country and run against LUGAR. I’m wondering now if he even runs for re-election.
I am still praying that Joe Miller pulls it off and gets the recount to win. The EVIL in Murkowski has to be slayed.
It won’t be as high..maybe 55 votes for repeal..it’ll be interesting to see how several senators vote..those up in 2012 especially..
There will be no actual vote because the cloture vote failed.
3 Republican Senators voted Yes on DREAM Act cloture motion: Lugar (IN), Murkowski (AK) and Bennett (UT)
%%%%
This was actually a good thing, because it means that if the Dems had had “solidarity” they would have reached the magic 60 votes. So...
...since some dems voted against it we can call it a BIPARTISAN defeat.
Mixing up DADT with Nightmare. I was actually referring to DADT.
They only need to win once and it will be impossible to reverse. We need to win every time.
El pueblo viene. Preparese por la inundation!
I pray that you are right on DADT, ken.
