A dash cam video from the officer who shot and killed Native American woodcarver John T. Williams was released Friday, showing Williams ambling slowly across the street in a crosswalk before the officer opens fire.

The video doesn’t show anything. Although that doesn’t seem to slow down anyone’s opinion here.
What I would like to see is the dash cams from the next two responding cars. When will they release those?
The shooting might have been justified, it might not have been. This link has, at least, some information:

From the moment the first word “put” left the officers lips until the first shot was fired was almost exactly five seconds.
Now we know how much time you have after the cop STARTS telling you what to do that you will be murdered. I, uh, mean, subdued.
BTW, the time from the COMPLETION of the first instruction, “Put the knife down” and the first shot was 4 seconds.
Felony woodcarving, I believe. Or he might have had one of those illegal knives or something.

The whole incident from contact to shooting occurred in less than 25 seconds.
Dude with a badge is Foionoing Murderer.
I don’t think he was even jay walking. Just crossing the street. He was evidently carving on a piece of wood as he walked along not bothering anybody. Officer tell’s him to drop the knife. The guy was probably startled, then the oficer shot him five times.

I've had them all drunk, point rifle at me in my truck. I wound window down and told Ole Johnny Sanford if he was gonna shoot me or shake my hand; he about one armed me out the window. I had the 480 in the door pocket too. Never even told anybody about it either. They should take that officer to that Indian's village and let his cousins have at him.
Bad things will come out of this.
Speaking of jay walking I once did get a jay walking ticket right on this street and i thought by the aggressive treatment of the cop (I was on my lunch hour at work) that he was going to throw me in jail. It was odd.)
First impression this is very sad. Most likely the guy really did just refuse to put the knife down. Who knows. Either way it didn't seem like the guy was bothering a soul when it all began. Odd. I would like to hear the cops side of the incident before passing complete judgment. It does seem an odd escalation though considering what we are viewing.
The guy was not drunk from the look of it.

Yes, it also has some very BAD information. It said, “This link has, at least, some information:”...confrontation that lasted about a minute.”
From the first “HEY!” out of the cops mouth to the first shot fired was 7 secinds.
That’s right, the whole thing lasted SEVEN SECONDS!
vaudine: “...it wasn’t more than 2 minutes between yelling the first time and shooting.”
I counted only about 10 seconds between the cop yelling, “Hey!” and the first gunshots. If someone came up on a street yelling at me, it would probably take me 10 seconds to figure out what was going on, too.
Free citizens have a right to bear arms openly and walk down a street without harassment from police. The cop is a murderer.

Geeze! You would think it was last call at the Doughnut Shop.
You see all those Fat Azz cops come rolling up most with their hands on their guns, with a partial draw and several others fully drawn?
Like a freaking parade! Must have been 20 or more cops in less only 1.5 minutes?
Try getting that kind of LEO protection when you are being Beaten or robbed.
The dead guy was also deaf in one ear.
I saw this tonight on KING-5 for the first time.
No way this is anything but murder. The cop flat out lost all self-control.
Seven seconds from the time he steps out of the car till his victim is dead.
