Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) said on Friday she won't decide whether to run for president for "some months still."
The onetime GOP vice presidential nominee said that she would wait some time before declaring her intentions for 2012, adding to the crowd of Republican contenders for president who appear set to kick off their campaigns at a later point, compared to the 2008 cycle.
"It's a prayerful consideration. Other folks can jump in and that kind of helps you get the lay of the land," Palin said of her thought process on "Good Morning America" on ABC. "But my decision won't be made for some months still."

Well I hope whatever decision she makes it’s the best for her and her family. I personally don’t think she will be ready as of yet and should wait till 2016 if she were to run at all. I also think she would serve much better in other area’s but alas it’s her decision to make.
I think she needs to wait for better poll numbers (particularly unfavorables) before jumping into the water. Granted, some of the polls are probably skewed for media consumption but we need to take seriously the frequent unfavorables in the 50s and sample ballots putting her in the low 20s. We need to WIN in 2012 more than we need exactly the right conservative. Four more years of Obama would literally destroy America. I don’t want a RINO, but I’d like to see us consider a conservative with less media baggage than Palin if she can’t make get her unfavorables down.
If she decides to run, do you think she’ll choose John McCain as her running mate?
The 100th anniversary of President Reagan’s birth is February 6, 2011. It happens to fall on Super Bowl Sunday, but there are a lot of official events the following week. I anticipate Palin announcing during this time.
“We need to WIN in 2012 more than we need exactly the right conservative”
Speak for yourself jerk!
I don’t think she is running.
Speak for yourself jerk!
LMAO
I'd bet dollars to doughnut holes.
I get a real kick out of people’s opinions...on a supposedly political site no less!
Here’s a clue...
She’s been running since August of 2009.
She has been working a brilliant strategy to perfection and everything is falling in to place.
This past year was to reintroduce herself and her family to America. Now she will turn to serious policy issues with speeches and opinion pieces, along with trips abroad., continuing to draw sharp contrasts to the Obama administration.
She has been absolutely brilliant with her PR campaign, keeping her name front and center.
She will win the nomination in a cakewalk and the White House in a landslide.
It’s going to be fun to watch...her detractors have no idea what is in store
They are so easy.. Making them go Batty should be easy..
I say use them like rented Donkeys.. confuse them..
How long can she wait to announce? Most of the big dogs came out with exploratory committees in January 2007.
As far as I know she can wait as long as she wants. It would be safe to say she has already explored I think.
You realize that the term "exploratory committee" isn't a term of art, but rather a legal entity that allows candidates to raise funds and spend money for certain things without announcing their actual candidacy. right?
Why is this important? Because of the wildly restrictive campaign finance laws, it's difficult to raise money and spend money without either forming an exploratory committee or a campaign committee. In short, they aren't set up to explore squat. They're set up to skirt campaign finance laws, legally.
Yes I am aware thank you.
Well since our current President wasn’t ready for this job and has sucked in every aspect possible I really don’t want another President to also suck. She needs to wait.
Just curious - how do you think she will be better able to govern in 2016 than in 2012? Other than giving the party insiders a better chance at corrupting her I mean.
