Sarah Palins visit to the earthquake-ravaged Haiti showed she is not afraid to get her hands dirty, says the Rev. Franklin Graham. The former Alaska governor is a woman of strong principle and no question she has a strong faith in God, the son of renowned evangelist Billy Graham said during a Newsmax.TV interview in which he discussed his hosting her Haitian visit......
...The former GOP vice-presidential candidate has tremendous compassion for people, she loves people, and she cares deeply about people, Graham said. She was an encouragement not only to the staff and to the relief workers (but) even to the Haitian people who didnt know her, Graham said.
She came in with her smile. She would sit on the cots. Now, you have to understand a cholera clinic, these cots have been soaked in urine, and fecal matter, and vomit. Cholera is a horrible thing, and she just sat right there in the middle of it, holding peoples hands, talking to people, holding babies, it was an amazing thing. Shes quite a lady and not afraid to get her hands dirty.....
.....As for Grahams appraisal of Palin, he said: When you read her book Going Rogue, she gives a testimony on how she gave her life to God. And the last page of her book Going Rogue, she mentions or says to the reader if you havent done what Ive done, I encourage you to do it. And she invites a person to invite God into their heart, their life. Ive seen the governor on a number of occasions and no question her faith is a big part of her life thats who she is. Shes a believer in Jesus Christ, a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, thats just her makeup. Its her DNA.

Sarah truly walking out the talk. . . very rare and truly a sign of greatness of character and spirit! You go Sarah!
On the other hand this is the US news media we're talking about.
Probably alot. The Palin’s are very generous when it comes to giving.
I’m a sexist. In the sense that men are men and women are women, and each is unique. And even in my view that the voting franchise should be limited to one vote per household, where the household is owned or leased long-term.
I agree, unseen. As a matter of fact, I have pointed it out before. You can always tell them apart from the regular PDS'ers.
“Haiti is a classic example that capitalists can and should use...”
I used to think the best thing the Haitians could do would be to petition to become a colony (or “territory” if the word “colony” was too offensive) of the US for some limited period of time - say two generations or so.
But that was before Obama.
No wonder the left hates her
“and a portion of FR”
Just my own crackpot theory, but I don’t think there are any true conservatives who hate her. I think they distrust that she could possibly be so true ... and can not bear to be let down again, which I understand, but to look at her and think that she is going to become a RINO, ala John Mccain or Mitt Romney is just plain crazy. As this piece says, she is EXACTLY who you think she is. And that scares and intimidates a lot of people.
And especially a lot of men who might give lip service to believing women are equal to the task, but they really don’t believe it. And they really don’t want to just come right out and say that.
Then you got your basic self doubters who know they couldn’t begin to march through this life with this kind of steel and they need to tear it down.
It freaks people out to see someone like this. She is like Winston Churchill was in his spirit.
She is resolute.
Some of the inordinate attacks are of a “spiritual matter” for those who understand what I’m saying, it goes beyond mere partisan politics.....that’s not saying that politicians or public figures are not good christians if they don’t get attack unmercifully like this, but I remember what Apostle Peter said 1 Peter 4:12-13 “Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange is happening, But rejoice insofar as you share Christs sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed.”
All of the mocking and insults, all of the outrageous lies and backstabbing that is at a level very few if many public figures have endured or experience in a lifetime, but all will triumph if they endure to the end.
good points
I completely concur. I was not too happy with an unknown as VP but she has shown in the last two years she has the stuff we need. She is much more thick skinned than the current teleprompter too.
Another reason I love this lady and is in my prayers.
Great interview. I’d like to see someone like Fox or some of the conservtive talk shows pick this interview with Graham up and run with it.
Sarah is running laps around these pompous, plastic stuffed suits that populate Washington.
I do disagree with Franklin Graham suggestion that becoming a christian in “in your DNA”. If one is a christian they are christians because God has drawn that person unto Him. Although one might say that the DNA line could suggest that Franklin believes that whether one becomes a christian or not is determined by DNA might suggest that Franklin is a armchair Calvinist.
re-read the quote. you are taking his quote out of context. He is saying that Palin is a Christian to her core. Not that she was a Chistian because of her DNA.....
Many are called, few are chosen. Seems to fit here.
or at least that is how I read it. i could see how you could get your POV also...
“
A strong, sincere Christian. No wonder the left hates her.
“
Some “people of color” like her.
Thus, the Democratic-Socialists (including the media) must destroy her.
My 80 year old dad she is a really nice woman but he wouldn’t vote for her.
She is resolute
In my case I watched her back McCain for re-election and stand by while he totally destroyed a good Christian man. She did nothing to stop it or slow it down. I'll never be able to trust her again.
Would I vote for her? Probably, but I'll never trust her.
Post of the day! Sarah can do that because she believes in what she says because she says what she believes and the plastic liars in DC hate that.
