A bottle of bleach is not a “device” even in creative police terminology.

More children die every year of excessive exposure to dihydogen monoxide than any other cause.

They are allowed to enter if there is an imminent threat. Smoke coming from the house in this case. They don’t have to wait for a giant conflagration to engulf the neighborhood. It is not an unreasonable search if they find stuff in the house after entering to put out a fire.

does the deed read one dollar plus other valuable consideration?

A bottle of bleach is not a device even in creative police terminology. Maybe not, but toilet bowl cleaner, aluminum foil and an empty Pepsi bottle are.

Ummm, aren't you supposed to have the search warrant before you find the explosives? There was actually a fire in the apartment and the first responders to the fire found the possible explosives.
From local news, the fire may have been started by the meth producing going on in the apartment. The guy who rented the place had just moved in last week.
And years ago I had friends who lived right around the corner from this apartment. This area, at that time, was a very nice area of New Haven, near the Yale Bowl. Old money, manicured lawns & do on

why does everyone assume a muzzie nut?Hmmmm, maybe because they just announced their intentions to carry out attacks inside the US on Christmas Day.

Anyway - back to topic, instead of always assuming Muzzie - think - is it a Muzzie or a mob hit/insurance scam/fall out among gang-bangers. What...you trying to help FR regain some credibility? Watch your shins...the knee-jerk crowd acts like grasshoppers on speed! Time-after-time they can be dead wrong, but the occasional correct guess refuels them for many more events!

Well....the Amish have had active drug rings, and this might be a drug-lab situation, but I wouldn't assume this was them.

I remember a time when your tagline read "Proudly not reading the articles since 1999." Laz? ...proud?
(I think the pride went before this fall. ;-)

household chemicals. yeah, and?
gun powder, primers, and dummy grenades are going to be every bit as common as bleach or ammonia in this crowd. and that’s just explosives, don’t get me started on even MORE common objects that ATF and FBI have raided for on gun issues.

LOL
The reason I posted the link to the Table (like anyone will actually go and read it) was to show the massive numbers of bombings and arson fires - each year - across the US, long before Sept 11 and the rise of the dreaded Muzzie as an “non-specific threat”
It used to be locally, when competition got to great locally - someone went under or someone got burned out. Not much as changed that way.
What's that old saying -
In Texas, the State bird used to be the Construction Crane.
Now, it's the firebug”
