TLC describes this week's episode as follows:
Sarah welcomes Kate Gosselin and her children to Alaska. To prepare for a camping trip with the kids, Sarah takes Kate to a bear safety class for rifle practice. Then Kate and the kids experience the wilderness braving the challenges of camping in Alaska....lol.

Probably started screaming for it the second she got off the plane.
It is heartbreaking to see children be treated that way.

Oh yes, I would certainly keep moving to get warm and doing things to keep from thinking about any discomfort. I would’ve liked to have seen how the next day turned out.
And I would bring plenty of hand gel, particularly if I had 8 little ones!
Yeah, did you see Piper's face when they were walking away - her expression said it all - it was almost a look of disgust.

For her to say that on TV, knowing she is being taped..is really sad. Poor kids, what they must have to deal with everyday. My Mom watched the show “Kate Plus 8” from the beginning. She said when the show first started, they were both down to earth people, but I guess fame got to them and they both got super huge egos, ruined them both
I want to see the rerun of that to be sure but the look the child gave upon hearing that meant it cut to the core. Why did Kate let herself be portrayed in that manner? And not just the editing but why did she behave that way knowing she was on camera? It makes no sense.
I hope Sarah made some attempt off camera to bring Kate out of that funk. As a good host I am sure she tried. Activity is the key to fight off the cold and get the blood flowing. Standing under that tarp was the worst possible choice Kate could have made (besides acting like that on camera).
Piper was so disillusioned and I think she took Kate’s rudeness rightfully as an insult to Sarah.
I doubt that you were disappointed. What a cry baby! How could she disappoint those kids that way? Sarah was right, though. If someone dropped me in the middle of New York, even with the red carpet treatment, I’d problably whine as badly as Kate did.
I found the show wonderfully entertaining. I lived in Mt. for many years and many people live the lifestyle of the Palin’s. It’s called a NORMAL American experience. Kate just showed the gap between disturbed liberals and real Americans. I feel sorry for those 8 wonderful kids. tHEY WERE REALLY ENJOYING BEING AROUND GOOD PEOPLE BUT THE LIBERAL WENCH JERKED THEM AWAY. iT JUST SHOWS THAT IT I ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO REHABILITATE A DIVA LIBERAL.
I agree, RedMDer. Her Dad is awesome. No wonder Sarah is smart. Her Dad is a superb teacher!
Kate’s Facebook page is being overwhelmed by negative comments about her behavior on the show tonight. She is her own worst enemy.
I don’t think Kate was scripted at all. I think she was truly miserable and let it show. IMO, she doesn’t have the talent of an actress to be able to fake it.
I concur. Kate is definitely a democrat...LOL, but I’ll wager she hates to pay taxes.
That show painted one of the best portraits of the difference between conservatives and liberals that you will ever see...
